My Bad Boy Best Friend

Beep beep beep
I groaned as I rolled over and turned off my alarm. It's Monday and I have to get ready for school so I got up and had a quick shower. Once I got out of the shower I brushed my teeth and my hair leaving it in it's naturally wavy ombré form. I put on a plain grey shirt and my black high wasted skinny jeans with black converse. I then put on some foundation, mascara and lipgloss before putting my glasses on and getting my school bag.
"Bye mum I'm going to school!" I yelled as I walked out grabbing an apple on my way.
"Whatever." My mum replied before I walked out.
I got into my car and started to drive to school singing to all of the songs that played on the radio. I got to school and hopped out of my car and saw Lucas, my best friend and the bad boy of the school, standing with his group of jock friends. He looked at me and smiled while waving me over.
"Hey" I said happily.
"Hey zo." Lucas smiled while hugging me.
"Oh, where's my hug?" Jake, one of Lucas' friends, complained. I just laughed and gave him a hug too.
"Okay, I'm walking Zo to her locker." Lucas announced putting an arm over my shoulders and started walking me to my locker.
"What are you doing tonight?" Lucas asked.
"Nothing, why?" I replied
"Just asking." He laughed. When we got to my locker I saw my only girl friend, Lilly, at her locker near mine.
"Heyy" my friend Lilly greeted me when I got to my locker.
"Hi" I replied happily, smiling to my friend. She was wearing a cute floral skater dress with nude flats. I got all my books I need out of my locker and turned back to my two friends.
Bringggggg
The bell went off for first period and I had science with Lucas while Lilly had a different class.
"Byeee, see you at lunch." I pouted to Lilly.
"Haha bye Zoe, bye Lucas." She said and hugged us before turning around to go to her class.
"Let's go" Lucas said wrapping one arm around my waist and walking to science with me. Also, no we aren't in a relationship we are just really good friends I've known Lucas since I was six.
Flashback~~
"Darling, come here there are people moving into the house across the road!" My mum exclaimed cheerfully.
"Who mummy?" I asked curiously.
"Haha not sure darling, do you want to go and meet them?" My mum asked sweetly.
"Yes pleaseeeee!!" I begged excitedly. I ran up to my room and put on my pink fairy dress and ran downstairs to my mum who took me over to meet the new neighbors.
"Hello, my name is Melanie and this is my daughter Zoe, she is six, we live right across the road." My mum said sweetly to a woman who looked about my mums age.
"Oh hi I'm Dorainne, this is my husband Harry and my son Lucas who is actually seven!" The lady named Daniel answered. I looked over and saw a little boy about my age in a Spider-Man outfit. We gave each other a toothy grin. My mum invited them over for tea and since then me and Lucas have been basically inseparable.
End of flashback~~
I smiled widely at the thought.
"What's got you so happy?" Lucas asked laughing slightly, I looked into his deep brown eyes before saying,
"Just thinking about when we first met." I replied honestly as we continued walking to class. We talked for a bit longer and then we got to the science room and I took notes and did work while Lucas just flirted and talked. I'm kind of a nerd but I'm pretty cool, I just like getting good grades and trying hard.

At lunch I sat down with Lilly. We were eating our food and talking about anything and everything when I looked over and saw Lucas sucking faces with Stacy the schools slūt. GROSS. I suddenly lost my appetite and pushed my food away. But it wasn't wasted, Lilly ate my food for me... Of course 😂.
