Harry Styles.
The minute I parked my car in the driveway of my old family home, I smiled and sighed in content. I reached for the back seat, grabbing my bags and got out of the car.
The front door opened before I even reached it, I was greeted with three familiar faces, my mum, Gemma and Robin. The minute my mum saw me she rushed over and hugged me tightly.
"Harry, I've missed you so much!" She exclaimed loudly. I smiled and hugged back, giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"I missed you too, all of you." I moved on from mum to give Gemma and Robin a quick hug before we headed inside.
After putting all of my things in my old childhood bedroom, I headed to the kitchen where we all sat and ate lunch, talking about the plans for Christmas - which was tomorrow.
"It'll just be us, and your grandparents. Christmas lunch, the usual." Mum told me, I nodded, taking another bite of my sandwich.
"So, who's this girl, Harry?" Gemma asked, I groaned loudly, clearly my mum had told her.
"Just a friend." I told them bluntly. They all stared at me blankly, I sighed.
"Her name is Alexis.. Uh, we went on a date, but she has some stuff going on at the moment, so we're just friends?"
My mum smiled. "That's great, honey. Just make sure you're looking after yourself okay?" I nodded.
"Oh, Harry." Gemma patted my back. "You so like her." I chuckled and shrugged.
My mum sighed loudly from the fridge she was now looking in. "Gemma, can you go get eggs, please?"
"I'll go." I offered.
"You don't have to do that, Harry. You just got here."
Gemma scoffed. "Oh, favouring are we?" She joked. I laughed at her words. "Mum, don't worry, I'll go it's fine." I insisted.
I grabbed my keys and went out to my car, driving through the familiar streets, all places filled with different memories from my childhood. Once I reached the grocery store I aimlessly looked down all the aisles, grabbing a few things that I figured we could use for Christmas lunch.
Once I placed the eggs in my basket, I turned around and almost walked straight into someone.
"Harry, is that you?" The person asked, I looked up seeing an all too familiar face.
There stood an ex-girlfriend of mine, if you'd even call it that, it started out purely physical before we dated. After a month of dating we decided it wasn't working on the relationship level.
She still looked the same, short, her blonde hair that used to be long was now cut short. She was wearing a grey coat, pink shirt, tucked into a high waisted skirt with stockings.
I smiled at her. "Brittany, hi." I replied, shocked to see her here.
"How have you been?" She asked, pulling me in for a tight hug that I awkwardly returned, due to my hands being occupied by the basket I held.
"Yeah, great. I didn't know you still lived here?" I questioned.
She shook her head. "No, I live in London now, I'm just down for the holidays."
"Yeah, I'm down for Christmas." I coughed awkwardly, unaware of how to keep going with this conversation, even though our relationship ended two years ago, we hadn't talked since then, and I wasn't sure what to talk about.
"Anyway, I best be off. My mums waiting for me in the car." I mentally sighed in relief.
"Okay, it was great seeing you." I said, unsure if I was telling the truth.
"You too." She returned, and turned around, only to turn back and face me again. "Wait, can I get your number, we should catch up while you're down?"
I timidly nodded, not really wanting to, but I didn't want to be rude, so I handed her my phone whilst she handed me hers, after I put my number in I returned it, grabbing mine from her and walked away.

Later that night, I was laying in bed watching TV, nothing really on besides Christmas movies for Christmas Eve, so I decided to call Alexis. It was eleven, but I figured she'd be awake.
"Hey!" She answered, slightly out of breath.
"Run for the phone, love?" I teased.
"Shut up, you." She shot back, I laughed.
"Did you have a good day?" I asked her, interested, of course.
"Yeah, pretty boring. Just cleaned, and wrapped Christmas presents, so much fun." Sarcasm was strong in her tone. I laughed lightly, not wanting to wake anybody up.
Was it bad to miss her already? Probably.
"I didn't do much, besides catch up with my family. Now, I'm just laying in bed, watching The Grinch, which by the way is a ridiculous movie for Christmas Eve." I rambled, earning a laugh from Alexis. "My family asked about you."
"They know about me?" She questioned.
"Uh, yeah." I told her awkwardly. "I tell my mum everything, well not everything, I didn't tell her we kissed or anything, and Jesus Christ I'm rambling again."
"Harry, shut up." Alexis giggled.
"Is it bad that I want to kiss you again?" I blurted before I could stop myself. "Fuck sorry, sorry."
"Harry." Alexis stopped me. "I want to.. As well, like kiss you but just.. Wait, all this shit in my life will be sorted soon, I promise." She reassured me. I smiled.
"Yeah, yeah. Sorry for bringing it up." I apologised, again.
"When will you be home again?" She asked out of nowhere.
"On the twenty-seventh, or the twenty-sixth, whichever I decide, I guess." I told her.
After that, we talked for another hour and talked about New Years Eve, deciding we would clearly be hanging out with Niall, Louis and Samantha. Apparently a club was hosting a huge New Years Eve night, and we'd probably be going to that, but we'd talk to the others first, of course.
Once we finally hung up, I went to sleep, looking forward to Christmas, but also looking forward to coming home and seeing Alexis.
