Chiwa's POV
"Guys! Guys guys guys guys!!!" I holler out to the group set in the living room. I ran out of my room and over to them as soon as I read a scroll that had made its' way through my window. "Guys, I have news!" I holler once more. Lea, Kit, and Vegeta all stop what they're doing and look up at me. "Guys! We're going to go on another adventure!!" I cheer excitedly. There was no response. It was...silent. "Guys!? Did you not hear me??" I sulk. Vegeta rolls his eyes. "We heard you, Chi." Kit remarks in a less than bored tone. "It's just that...." she hesitates. "the last time you said we were going on an adventure, it was lame babe." Lea finishes. I gasp. Unamused and shock were both the emotions I screamed across my face. "I...know that last time didn't go as to what we had hoped for, but this time for sure!" I explain. Lea thinks it over and looks to Kit. Kit just shrugs and glances toward Vegeta. Vegeta looks to them with a hint of disgust and looks back up to me. I raise my eyebrows, shut my eyes, and give a smile like no one has ever showed before. Seconds go by and Vegeta snaps. "Argh! Fine! We'll go on this stupid adventure, but if all we do is push buttons, woman's just gonna have to learn how to live without a best friend." he snarks. Well, yay. At least they agree to go on a journey once more. This journey wasn't gonna be an ordinary journey though. This journey would surely be something else. Little do they know...before I even met Kit, I lived a life of survival and stealth amongst the shadows. I had been part of a clan....a ninja of the Azuma clan. It was a clan in which master Gohda was our Lord. We were put to several different tests to prove us worthy enough to be trusted to handle our jobs with care. There were many ranks upon our clan. Which of so, went in this order: Novice, Apprentice, Thug, Ninja, Expert Ninja, Master Ninja, and Grand Master. I was one of the three ranked Grand Masters. It would be me, Ayame, and Rikimaru. We were the three whom others could count on to get the mission done. A lot of our missions would include protecting the Lord and his daughter, Princess Kiku. Other missions would involve putting our lives in danger. And let me just say, if anyone has ever been in any one of the situations I were in, then they'd see why I appreciate life so much. I was so happy to have created a different life outside of the clan, from all the disasters, but I've kind of been edgy lately. I kind of miss that flow of action in my life. Plus, it's what I need to catch up with the chaos spoken for in me and Kit's apartment. No offense or anything, but dang. It's been hard. Anyway, the scroll that flew in through the window had been sent by Ayame. I don't remember telling my new address, but that's exactly how sneaky we were. She said that she and Rikimaru would come by today, so I wanted to spread the news before they show up unexpectedly. They needed my help and...of all places...somewhere to stay... Well, at least the place would be more lively. Heh heh. My thoughts were then distracted by the constant ringing of the doorbell. Seriously? Did they not know the concept of the doorbell? Assuming it was Ayame and Rikimaru, I walk straight to the door and greet them in. "Everyone, I'd like to introduce you to two old friends of mine, Ayame and Rikimaru." I point toward them. I then turn to face the ninjas. "And this is my roommate and dear friend Kitsune, my boyfriend Lea, and her boyfriend Vegeta." I point to each one of the people sitting on the couch. I turn back around to face them. "And these two are the people we are to face dangers with. YAY!" I cheer in hope that they would lighten up a bit because they did not seem amused. "...Did I mention they'll be spending the night?...and some-WHO WANTS CAKE?" I burst out trying to cover up the small-ish detail about them staying with us. "Woah woah woah. Did you just say that they need a place to stay?" Kit asks, raising an eyebrow. "Yeah..." I say. "Without consulting me first?" she asks another. "Yeah..." I hesitate. She throws her hands up. "Okay, well, what's the reason?" she demands. "Actually...this I'd like to hear too." I turn to face my old friends. "Why are you two here?" I ask. Ayame glances to Rikimaru to give away such hidden answer. He just looks to the floor. Ayame sighs and answers for him. "Because of a certain someone's bad behavior, we ran from the clan, for we have stained our own blood." she explains. I raise my eyebrow. "Stained-what happened?" I ask for further details. No one was saying anything. What could have happened out there? "Well??" I started to grow impatient. "Kiku's dead!" Ayame blurts out. WHAT?!?! I couldn't believe what I heard. "Wait, who?" I hear Kit mumble from behind me. "I think she said Kiku." I hear Lea respond to her question. "Who the hell is this Kiku character?!" I hear Vegeta comment in his own way of things. I turn my direction to the three on the couch. "Kiku is our clan's Princess." I explain. Their expressions grow even more concerned and puzzled. I forgot I haven't mentioned anything to do with my life as a ninja. I decide I'll tell them later in details and turn back to the two in front of me. "What do you mean she's dead?!?!?" I exlaim. I wanted answers and they were being all sorts of silent. "Who, what, when, where, and most of all..WHY?!?" I repeat. "Rikimaru, Onikage. Onikage took Kiku as hostage and taunted Rikimaru with words such as saying he would go as far to risk taking any innocent bystander's life just to get to him, no matter the situation. Of course, he just kind of followed and went with it. When Rikimaru was about to point his sword at him, he pushed Kiku in between, letting the blade go through both of them. Now both of them are dead, but Onikage still might be alive afterall. We don't know. This happened about a month ago and we heard some rumors. If he is...he will pay the price for everything that he's done. For Kiku." she explains in every detail. I push two fingers to each side of my temples. I couldn't believer what I was hearing. Actually I can because this was our lives. Nothing was normal. No one was ever safe. And everyone we ever come across had to pay the cost for someone else's damage. I just couldn't believe it. I look to Rikimaru. "Why would you do something like that!? You didn't have to play up to his tricks! After everything we've been through to protect her! You knew Onikage would try to rile you up and you fell for it!" I shout towards him. "Look. He might still be out there and I'm not gonna stand here any longer and do nothing about it, so are you going to help or not?" he sternly remarks. I let out a breath. "Well yeah. I'm in." I let out, whilst holding my breath. I finally understand what our newly awaited journey was and why they need my help. This mission wasn't just gonna take the three of us to nail it this time. It was gonna take more than just us. And lucky for them, I already have a backup plan.
