(🎶He sits in his cell,
And he lays on his bed.
Covers his head and closes his eyes.🎶)

Micheal looked out the bars of his cell before looking over to his cellmate. He let out a small yawn, denying how tired he was. Sleep meant dreaming, and he wasn't ready to see the love of his life... not like that.  Kevin (his cellmate) gave him a sympathetic look then looked away from him. Lights out was going to come pretty soon so Micheal laid down falling into a fitful sleep.

(🎶He sees a smoking gun,
And the coward he ran.
And in his arms is the bleeding
Love of his life.🎶)

They were walking blissfully along the beach as the sun set over the water, heading to a small flea market that had just opened up. Laura ran ahead of him as her silky skirt fluttered along behind her before she turned to him with a smile across her calm features. "Hurry up. It might be closing soon!"
"It opened today,  sweetheart. " She looked beautiful dressed in all white, just like on their wedding day. Micheal walked a little faster despite the sand making it a little harder for him to move. He was only a few feet away when Laura's body lurched forward as a red flower blossomed over her chest. She fell to her knees as Micheal quickly closed the distance between them, catching her in his arms. He caught the eye of a man he knew as Evan, Laura's old bestfriend who wanted to be with her then stopped talking to her when she started seeing Micheal. Evan hid the gun and ran as people from the boardwalk started screaming and frantically calling the police. Micheal held Laura's cold hands as he looked into her teary eyes.

(🎶And she cried,
"Kiss it all better,
I'm not ready to go.
It's not your fault, love,
You didn't know, you didn't know."🎶)

"Babe? Can you hear me? Please don't leave me. Not now." Micheal brushed hair from her face as his tears dripped onto her face. People formed a circle around them while others watched from the boardwalk.
"Y-You can't get rid of me that easily." Laura let out weak laugh, holding his hand as tightly as she could. "Who could h-...have guessed that th-this is how today would end?"
"Nothing is ending. Everything is going to be okay." He hid his face in her hair as he sobbed, unable to look at her struggling to stay alive. Her grip on his hand loosened as she took a weak breath that would be her last...

(🎶Her hands are so cold,
And he kisses her face
And says, "Everything will be all right."
He noticed the gun,
And his rage grew inside.
He said, "I'll avenge my lover tonight".🎶)

The paramedics showed up and took her out of his hands. She was pronounced dead on site...
Micheal went home after he went through the everything following her death. Her parents and family members invited him to come over so he wouldn't be alone. He refused them as he had already made plans for something else. Micheal grabbed his gun out of the top drawer of his dresser then grabbed his car keys.

(🎶And she cried,
"Kiss it all better,
I'm not ready to go.
It's not your fault love,
You didn't know, you didn't know."🎶)

After driving for a while he parked outside a house on the outside of the closest city. He walked up to Evan's front door, hiding the gun before Evan opened the door. He looked terrified to see Micheal. "Why did you do it, Evan? She's my everything... even in death."
"She chose you over me. I gave her everything she could have ever asked of me." Evan stuck out his chest, pissing Micheal off even further. He turned away from Micheal, and instead of closing the door he fell to his tile floor. Micheal had take the gun out and shot Evan through the back, the bullet piercing his heart. A scream was heard from the inside of the house followed by police sirens.

(🎶Now he sits behind prison bars,
25 to life and she's not in his arms.
He couldn't bring her back with a bullet to the heart
In the back of a man who tore his world apart.
He holds on to her memory,
All it is, is a memory.
Hey, hey.🎶)

Micheal fell to his knees. No rage was left inside of him as far as he was concerned he was just the shell of his former self without Laura. The police came and took him away. He was found guilty before a judge earning him twenty-five to life.
Micheal bolted up in his bed as tears streamed down his face. He couldn't sleep without having that dream... He looked over to Kevin's sleeping body then laid back down, crying into his pillow. He felt as if his world was getting torn apart for the second time in his life. Micheal whispered softly to the ceiling, "Laura please set my mind to ease. Help me sleep easily for once since I took his life...."

(🎶 He cries,
"Stay with me until I fall asleep,
Stay with me."
"Stay with me until I fall asleep,
Stay with me."
"Stay with me until I fall asleep,
Stay with me."
"Stay with me until I fall asleep,
Stay with me."🎶)

His heavy eyelids fluttered shut for the second time that night as he drifted off to sleep. This time he saw Laura dancing in a meadow under a tree in a plain white silk dress as her curly hair tumbled down over her shoulders. "Kiss it all better, I'm not ready to go. It's not your fault love, you didn't know."  Micheal made his way over to her, wrapping his arms around his lover as she sang to him. She spoke to him in a soft voice that seemed to drift around him, "I've missed you, my love."  He found himself trying to speak but he was unable to. Laura simply pressed a soft finger to his lips. "I know you are sorry. It's not your fault."

He received a rather loud awakening from a guard causing him to bolt up again, leaving his perfect place. Micheal went through another day in the jail, looking forward to lights out for the first time in the ten years he had already served.

(🎶Kiss it all better,
I'm not ready to go.
It's not your fault love,
You didn't know, you didn't know.🎶)

As his head hit his pillow he repeated his small 'prayer' from the night before, drifting off just as he had before, and he could have sworn he heard Laura singing while he fell asleep.     Micheal arrived at a long beach in front of a castle-like house. The beach had a single stone bench where the love of his life sat. He joined her, sitting on her right hand side as she laid her head on his shoulder.  Once again he tried to speak, finding himself unable to. "I missed you too." Laura looked up to him, looking into his loving yet tearful hazel eyes. "Please don't cry. I'm here and I'm not going anywhere." He simply nodded as she pressed her soft lips to his. She broke the kiss first, resting her head on his shoulder again as he rested his chin on the top of her head.

(🎶(Kiss it all better.)
Stay with me until I fall asleep,
Stay with me.
Stay with me until i fall asleep,
Stay with me.
(kiss it all better.)
Stay with me until I fall asleep,
Stay with me.
Stay with me until I fall asleep,
Stay with me.🎶)

The next morning the guards found Micheal Barrot dead in his cell with a smile across his face. The prison nurse claimed that he had suffocated in his sleep.
