Everything was a blur, I couldn't see a thing, all I saw was pure darkness and emptiness. Until, all of a sudden, a light shined bright opening up my eyes,  i started to hear things, unusual sounds  I have never heard before. A boy sitting on the floor while I laid in bed, watching baby Looney toons in a big open area I had never seen before. "Christopher, Christina!" yelled out a women. We rushed down stairs to see who she was calling.  She was standing at the bottom of the stairs watching us from above with a mean masculine face, "Come here." she said pointing to the boy, he walked down slowly, watching his every move.

I watched closely to see what was going to happen, " You too." she pointed at me as if I was her target and prey, I walked down slowly, waiting to see if she was going to make a move. "Who broke the vase?" she asked in a masculine tone, no one answered, "Ok fine." she raised her hand up in the air as if she was praying to the lord but instead she gave the boy one smack on the arm and a hard one on my face. We both started to cry so loud we couldn't breathe, "Shhhhh I'm sorry its ok mommy's here." Apparently she was our mother and that was my brother She wrapped her big huge arms around us, I moved away while the boy remained crying in her arms. "It's ok I wont hurt you." She told us "But you just did." I said, still trembling in fear. " I'm sorry." she said with such a sweet voice. " I cant believe this is my mother"....why me? Why couldn't i be with a different mom? Its funny how faith plays a trick on us.

It was lunch time, my mother had made chicken tenders and French fries with ketchup on the side. I had hesitated to go to the table but my brother rushed to the table as if he had never seen food before. I sat at the table and ate, it tasted so good I wanted more, but my mother was on the phone and I didn't know if I should disturb her or not. So I went ahead and asked her for more, she said no, so l sat back down.

The front door opened, a man had came in, he stared at us and smiled, " Hey sunshine hey champ." We both said hello and smiled back, "Who is he now? My father?" my mother had greeted him with disgust, just a simple hello and went back to her conversation. " When do the kids start school?" my father asked "Next week" she said. "School? what is school? Great! Another event I have to live through I hope it was better than this place" "Ok well I'm just going back to work" ; "ok" said my mother as she walked out the kitchen and up the stairs.

Christopher (my brother) and I went outside to play with the neighborhood kids, turns out Christopher  has a different personality than I do. He is antisocial, wants everything his way, and is a jerk  but sadly i have to live with this jerk for the rest of my life. "Hey you want to play?" said a girl in a pink tank top and light blue shorts, " Sure" I said without enthusiasm, I didn't really care for playing, I just cared for the amount of friends I get, we both played catch because I was a great catcher and she was the best pitcher on the block.

Everybody loved me, me Christina, I didn't know why but even when I don't talk to people, they come running towards me as if I'm the ice cream truck coming down the street. the street lights had came on, it was time to head inside, dripping wet from sweat and playing all day I had to take a shower, since I was so young i couldn't really take my clothes off by myself. After dinner my mother put me and my brother in the bath tub, I was soaking it all up, the warm water, the soft bubbles brushing against my skin; I never wanted to get out, but my eyes started to become weary so I hopped out the bathtub, let my mother put on my clothes and went straight to sleep. "Tomorrow is a new day, a better brighter new day... I hope" as I said drifting off to sleep.

Its 4am I cant sleep, I hear my mother and father complaining and I want to know whats going on, I  want to why they are screaming, yelling, and fighting, but instead I'm just going to lay here in silence. I fall back asleep, waiting for them to stop. darkness was every where i couldn't see a thing, a voice inside my head was saying come closer, as I walked closer i fall into a pit that leads to a underwater cave, brights lights shining from above, twinkling like stars, I was amazed and fascinated, but then all of a sudden i couldn't breathe; I was suffocating, "whats going on here? what is happening to me?" as i jumped out of my sleep it was broad daylight,

"It was just a dream, but what did that dream mean exactly?" I guess it was just another dream that people have. the scent of bacon and pancakes lifted me out of my bed and down the stairs as if I was floating on air. the food was already set on the table, I sat myself down and dived in. It tasted so good I wanted more, my eye was longer than my stomach, so I went into the basement and watched TV with my brother."You know there is this place that we have to go to every week except Saturday and Sunday" Christopher said with a dull look on his face, " yea I know its called school, its where kids our age and above go to ... learn" "learn? what does that mean?" "i don't know i guess we will find out when we get to school". 5pm and we were heading out to staples to get supplies for.. school, i don't know why but for some reason when i say things that involved school and learning i felt a sudden interest at first , but then don't care after that. we walked in holding our mothers hand on each side, the place was so big i started to become small and tiny as if the walls were about to tumble over any minute now. it was Sunday so school was starting tomorrow, i picked out the coolest stuff so that tomorrow i could be the coolest looking kid there. we left the store in about an hour or so, we drove to McDonalds and i ordered a big meal, but my mother said no, it seemed like my mother was the only one there for us, i never really see my dad home that often. as we drove home mom was complaining again, Christopher started to sob a little because she was yelling. "shut the hell up before i give you something to cry for!" she said in her masculine voice, when ever i hear that voice i grow stronger and always try to stand up to her, but couldn't because i was to small and terrified with fear that i would freeze in shock. he stopped crying after that and fell asleep in the car, when we arrived home she jerked him out the car dragging him into the house.  " go to bed!" she yelled as she packed our bags for school, i ran straight to my bed and scared of what might happen next i hid underneath my covers and shutting my eyes tight as i can, i fell asleep right away  it was 9pm so i was really tired. "tomorrow is a new day, a new life and a new beginning".
