Chapter 2

~Jessica's POV~

"So first off I want to congratulate our newest member of the family for her first game and making that grand slam!" Coach Sanchez thanked me as she was talking to the whole team.

I couldn't help but blush a little at this excitement I'm getting. "Thanks coach!"

After the little pep talk with the coach our food had finally come.

"Thank god it's here already I was going to pass out if I didn't eat yet!" My best friend is one of the most dramatic people when it comes to food.

We had ate 4 slice of a combination pizza each. We were all enjoying ourselves. Alex seemed a little left out after we ate so I decided to leave and take her somewhere else.

"Bye guys see you all at practice!" I said backing up while trying to leave.

I had accidentally bumped into something hard. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I'm always so clumsy." I say as I look up to see a pair of beautiful blue eyes.

"No problem beautiful!" I couldn't help but blush when he called me beautiful. "It's not everyday when you bump into a beautiful girl like yourself."

I just stood there smiling admiring what he has on. He had a baseball jersey with baseball pants and some cleats. His cleats were perfect! That's when I noticed he was a baseball player. It looked like he just came back from practice or a game.

"I'm Nic by the way. Nic Sanchez." He introduced him self.

"I'm Jessica. Jessica Olsen." We shook on that until I heard a slight cough.

"Nic this is my best friend Alex. Alex this is Nic." They shook and said there hellos until just as Coach S called out.

"Nic were over here!" Coach S shouted.

"Wait. Are you Coach S's son ?"

"Yea I am. How do you know my mom?" He asked curiously.

"She's my coach for softball. I play 1st base on her team."

"Oh really? That's so cool I play 1st, shortstop, and pitcher in baseball. And I also can be put on outfield or catcher if they needed me to."

"Nice! Well I should let you go to your mom. Don't wanna keep her waiting do we?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"Yea true but before we go.... I was.... Uhhh...... I was wondering if I can have your number?" He said while he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Yea sure" we exchanged number and said our goodbyes.

Once we got in our car there was a loud scream!

"What the fuck Alex?! Why the fuck are you fucking screaming as if you were about to die?!?!" She scared the shit out if me when she screamed.

"Dude Nic was totally hitting on you! And by the looks of it so were you!" She smirked and winked. She was so crazy sometimes. But that's why I love her.

"Your crazy! As if. We were just talking nothing more."

"Dude he asked you for your number! And when he did he did that cute thing guys do when they get shy and nervous!!"

I just playfully rolled my eyes at her. "Whatever you say." And drove off to get some frozen yogurt.

~Nic's POV~

I had accidentally bumped into the most beautiful girl I had ever laid my eyes on. It looked like she just came back from practice of some sort or even maybe a game. Even with no makeup she was absolutely stunning. Once she left i made my way over to mom and her players.

"So I see you met Jessica and her lovely friend?" She semi asked curiously.

"Yea she seemed like a nice girl. But whatever." I tried not to sound so interested.

"It-" mom was caught off by one of her players. They just had a little conversation but realized we hadn't finished talking. "This conversation isn't over." She gave me the look and started talking with the team.

I decided to leave so I don't have to deal with an interrogation by my mother. Plus I felt lonely and left out so I left. I wanted to go somewhere for dessert or something so I went to some frozen yogurt place. I decided to call up a friend so I didn't look like a loner.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

L: hello?
N:hey man what you up to right now?
L: nothing just dribbling my soccer ball as always why what's up?
N: I was wondering if u wanted to get some yogurt with me and chill ?
L: yea sure text me where to meet you and ill meet you in a few.
N: alright cool see you there

After we hung up I sent him a quick place to get some yogurt and headed towards the place. When I got there I only had to wait about 3 minutes for Leo to come.
