Chapter 3

~Jessica's POV~

"The total will be $7.63. " the lady behind the counter said. I gave her the exact amount and Alex and I went to find a place to sit somewhere inside. This place seemed to get busy pretty fast but we didn't mind since we already got our yogurts. I had swirl of chocolate and vanilla with Oreos, strawberries, recess pieces, coco pebbles, and some caramel on top. Alex had vanilla with practically everything on top especially the whipped cream and cherry on top. She was ALWAYS hungry.

"Thanks Jess for the yogurt." She said happy that she got a lot of it.

"Anytime but next time please leave some toppings for the other customers!" We both started laughing because we both know there probably wouldn't have been anything left if I didn't tell her something when she was filling it up.

"Dude hottie at you 6 o'clock and my 12 o'clock." My best friend was so weird sometimes. I decided to turn around to be the nosy person I am.

"Omg dude that's Nic! How do I look ?!?! Is my hair fine? What about my makeup? Do I look alright?" I was always so nervous when it came to a guy I thought was cute or had a crush on.

" Dude chill. You look beautiful as always." She tried calming me down.

"Yea right . Beautiful my ass." I scoffed at her. Personally I never thought I was beautiful I always saw myself as a girl who's overweight and too ugly to function. But my best friend being the best friend is always saying how beautiful I am and always saying I'm not fat when I tell her I am. This is why I love her no matter what she's always there to pick me up when I'm feeling down. Unless it has to do with boys because she is clueless when it comes to boys. It's rare that she ever has a crush.

"Bitch! Shut the fuck up! You are one of the most beautiful girl I know. I hate it when you put your self down like that." She tries telling me but me being my stubborn self doesn't listen.

"Watch ill prove it to you ."

"What do you m-" I was cut off when she stood up and walked up to the one and only Nic. I wonder what she's saying.

~Alex's POV~

I decided to prove Jessica wrong about the way she sees herself. And to do that I went up to Nic, the guy she is currently crushing on, and came to ask him something.

"Hey Nic long time no see how you been?" I tried to he serious but failed miserably.

"Alex I literally saw you about 30-40 minutes ago. But I'm pretty good." Nic started laughing.

"True" I didn't know how to respond once I looked at the cute guy standing next to Nic. Nic must have seemed to noticed because he cleared his throat and started to introduce us.

"Alex this is my best friend Leo. Leo this is Alex my new friend that I met an hour or so ago."

"Hey" his voice sounded so cute. I felt speechless for the first time in my life.

"Hi nice to meet you" I managed to say. "So Nic I actually came to ask you a question."

"Sure. Go for it."

"We'll you remember Jessica right?"

"Of course how could I not?"

"We'll she is over there telling me how she's not beautiful and every time I try to tell her she is she doesn't listen. I swear she could be so stubborn sometimes. But anyways what do you think?" I said all in one breath.

"Jessica is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. I don't understand why she doesn't see that." Nic looked a bit hurt when I told him.

"Well can you do me a favor and go tell her that because she obviously won't listen to me." I said trying to kind of play matchmaker.

"I'd be glad to but I don't want to leave my friend to go talk to some girl." He said trying to make up an excuse.

"It's okay man ill be fine." Leo said after he noticed what I was trying to do.

"I have a better idea. What if you both come to join us? Then you can tell her but don't say so suddenly make conversation then bring it up."

"Fine I'm cool with that." And we headed to mine and Jessica's table.

~Jessica's POV~

I was wondering what was taking her so long. I turned around and saw her, Nic and some other guy walking towards me. Oh lord what did she get me into!

"Hey Jess look who I bumped into. Nic and his lovely friend Leo!" She said that enthusiastically. When she looked at him her eyes lit up but I don't think she realized it.

"Hey Nic! And hi I'm Jessica nice to meet you!" I let out my hand introducing myself to Leo.

"Hi I'm Leo Nic's friend." He said politely.

"So what happened to meeting your mother with her team of softball players minus one?" I asked curiously wondering why he was here instead of there with her.

"I got bored and felt left out since I had no one to talk to. But if you were there I probably wouldn't have." He was so cheesy it was super cute!

"Awe! Makin me blush" I said jokingly but most likely I really was blushing.

"Well good that means I'm doing something right!" He did a little smirk that fit him so good. He looked cute when he smirked.

"Your so corny you know that?" I asked playfully.

"Well I try. It's not everyday you bump into the same beautiful girl on the same day."

"Thanks but I'm not beautiful I know Alex just told you to tell me that."

"What are you talking about? Jessica you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen! You have no idea how lucky your boyfriend is to have you by his side." He looked straight into my eyes when he told me this. I couldn't help but smile and blush.

"Thank you. I've ever been told anything like that before. And FYI I don't have a boyfriend." I said with the same smile on my face.

After that we all ended up leaving and exchanging numbers once again but this time it was Alex and Leo. They looked so cute together. It looked like they were perfect for each other. Alex ended up staying the night at my house and we talked and talked about what happened with me and Nic. And what happened with her and Leo. They seemed to hit it off. We were about to go to sleep when I heard my phone buzz.
