Secrets

Niall's POV:

I saw Kayla rubbing her eyes and so did Elijah.

"Daddy I'm sleepy." She said in a soft voice.

"Are you finished?"

"Yes daddy."

"Elijah, are you sleepy too?"

"Yes Niall."

Austin got Elijah and carried him.

"Jeanette, you can leave Elijah with Kayla. They can sleep together."

"Thanks Gen."

"Your welcome."

Gen and Jeanette went upstairs to put the children in the crib.

"Niall have you told her?"

"About what?"

"The tour."

"Ya but not the whole thing."

"What would she do?"

"I don't know but I don't want her to be mad or sad."

"Your leaving to the US. Staying there for almost an year."

"Don't remind me Austin. I don't want to leave them."

I remembered my mom saying not to leave Gen. Now I get her, but how did she know about this? I got the phone call from the management saying that we are staying in the US for almost an year.

"Sorry mate but I don't think she will be happy about this."

"I know. I don't want her to lie to Kayla. Saying that I'm sick and miss her birthday again."

"Mate just try talking to here, but when your ready."

"Ok I'll try."

Gen's POV:

I carried Kayla while Jeanette carried Elijah. We entered Kayla's nursery.

"Lay him here." I pointed at the side of the crib. "I'll put Kayla in the other side."

"Ok."

We laid them down and watched Elijah and Kayla sleep.

"They look like angels."

"Yeah."

"So.. Anything exciting ? Jeanette asked me.

"Not really. Only going shopping tomorrow."

"Me too. For who?"

"Kayla."

"Want to go together?"

"Yes,that would be wonderful."

"Ok."

We walked out the nursery and went downstairs. I heard Niall and Austin talk about something but I couldn't quite hear their conversation.

"What you guys talking about?"

"N-nothing." Niall stuttered.

"Niall?"

"Yes?"

"You stutter when you lie."

"N-no."

"Ok if you don't want to tell me don't."

I went to the fruit basket and started eating grapes.

"When are you going back to school?"

"Me?" I asked Jeanette.

"Yeah."

"I really don't want to go back. I'm scared that they will make fun of me because I'm 18 and have a child."

"I promise they won't."

"Yeah and if they do, they will regret making fun of you." Niall said.

"You guys don't get it. They will start bulling me."

"Gen, you were the popular girl at school."

"WAS." I yelled. "Since 3 years ago. now I'm not.So that means I would get bullied and called a whore or slut."

"But you will know that you're not."

"Thanks but I'll see."

I sat on the couch and Niall joined.

"Gen?"

"Yes?"

"When you go back to school, promise me that your not going to do anything bad."

"Like what? What do you mean?"

He stayed silent and ignored my question.

"Niall why are you keeping secrets from me?"

"I'm not."

"Niall?"

"I'm not Gen but I need to leave."

"Ok."

"Bye! Tell Kayla I love her. Maybe I'll come tomorrow if my mom leaves." He said exiting.

"Ok." I whispered. I felt bad, sad, depressed that Niall came and left quickly. The worst part was that Niall was keeping secrets from me.

"Gen?" Jeanette said.

I ignored her.

"Gen, I'm sorry."

"Jeanette, your not the one who should apologize. It's Niall."

"Ya. I don't think Austin would keep secrets from me."

"Lucky you. And where is Austin?"

"He's upstairs getting Elijah."

"Your leaving too?"

"Yeah, I'm sorry it's because Austin's sisters are coming."

"It's ok. I guess."

"Thanks."

Austin came back with Elijah on his shoulder still asleep.
