Chapter Eleven

Rachel

"Mommy, what are you doing?" she asked. Now is the best time to tell her.

"Julia, we all need to have a little talk." I said as I pulled away from Finn. Finn sat down on the ground and I sat down next to him as Julia came up to me.

"Why were you kissing Finn?" she said in a motherly tone. I sighed and started to explain to her the mystery of her missing father.

"Well, this is Finn, as you know." I started.

"Yes, I know. You have a picture of him on your nightstand!" she blurted out and smiled. I covered her mouth quickly as Finn laughed.

"Okay, that's enough of that." I said laughing. I removed my hand from her mouth and continued.

"Finn is your daddy, and he is the new baby's daddy too." I said gently. I saw her eyes swell up with tears and screamed at me.

"Why didn't you tell me about him?" she said mad.

"He didn't even know about you until we moved here, I kept it a secret!" I told her.

"I don't like you!" she screamed and started to run away. I stood up quickly and so did Finn. I gave him my shoes and started running as fast as I could toward her.

"Julia!" I screamed as I watched her run outside. I ran outside trying to avoid the holes and rocks, when I saw it. Julia tripped on a rock and landed on the ground. I started to sob as I ran towards her.

I ran over to her and picked her up from the ground and she had to bloody knees and a bloody face.

"Baby." I whispered as I clutched her to me. Finn ran over to me and the glee club was following him.

"Rach, let me have her and I'll run her to the nurses office." he said as he had tears in his eyes. I guess he did care. I gently placed Julia in his arms and he ran back inside the building as all my friends came up to me. Santana and Quinn were ahead of the rest of them and they ran up to me and hugged me as I sobbed.

"It'll all be okay, Rach. Stop crying for the sake of the baby. Please." Santana said with a shaky voice. She's only seen me like this once, and that was when she found me in the bathroom after my dads died. I looked up and saw Emma running towards me. I got up from Santana and Quinn's grasp and ran over to her as she engulfed me in a huge hug.

"You're okay, you're okay, you're gonna be okay." she told me as I sobbed in her arms.

  I stood in the hallway of my house watching Julia sleep. I sighed as Finn came up to me. I put my head on his shoulder as he watched Julia sleep with me.

  "I'm a terrible mom." I said with a few tears going down my face. "And I'm sorry for keeping her a secret from you." I turned to face him.

"You're the best mom I've ever seen. And everybody has secrets, and you did what you had to do." he smiled and kissed me.
