The days after were hard. Countless therapy sessions, getting over injuries and rehabilitating hands. Alice was a constant comfort to all of them. Helping Harry apply salve to his face wound or cutting up and feeding Hermione her food when her hands hurt too much.
Molly Weasley was a frequent visitor, always fusing about them. Harry could see the pain in the woman's eyes as she watched her son struggle through words that he'd learnt many years ago
The day after their adventure, Ron had woken and tried to speak. Tired. After the cutting of his tongue, the nerves had been damaged so bad and no spell could fix it.
He spent his days practicing simple words to regain his speech.
Harry spent his answering questions to different Therapist and talking to Nic and Penny Flamel. They were talking about possible ways to ease the blocks of his and his sisters minds, and severe the darkness from their scars.
Dumbledore had been to visit a few times. He never said much. Just, looked. He stared at the boy for minute before he left. It was all very strange.
Ginny Weasley was also a common visitor, usually pulled in by her mother but she was none the less there. She usually talked to them without any sort of aim in her words. Rambling for hours at a time until they were killed to sleep.
--
"We're going to obliviate you." The squeaky professor Flitwick said. "The ordeal was too damaging to your psych. You will remember bits and pieces, but none of the more damaging parts okay?"The three nodded staring straight ahead.
"Obloviate."
--
A few hours later the three woke in their beds in their dormitorys with nothing but vaugue recollection of the battle between Harry and Quirrell. They remembered going in and getting through most of the challenges, but anything after being trapped in the invisible boxs was black space.
--
Harry did play in the last two games of season, never failing to catch the snitch. But it was obvious he wasn't in it as much as he usually was. Catching the snitch wasn't a big deal anymore. He didn't pump his fist in the hair with a victorious yell, he didn't do fancy dives and tricks. He landed quickly and handed the snitch to hooch before hurrying off the field.Something was obviosuly wrong
--The end of the feast was boring.
Gryffindor had won both cups, Quidditch and house, and the house was celebrating joyously. Everyone that was, expect Harry, Ron, Hermione and Alice.
--
Harry glanced back at the receding form of Hagrid as the train left the station and towards London. The twins were staying with the Flamels for the summer much to Molly Weasley's cargrin. The Flamels hoped to have fond a way to reverse the block in their minds slowly and remove the piece of evil from them. The train ride was silent, no one darring to break the silence.
Eight hours later they pulled up to platform nine and three quarters in London. The Weasley clan was spotted first by their red hair, and the Grangers stood right next to them looking worried.
The Flamels stood at the very back of the busy platform just as previously discussed.
The four heaved their bags off the train and onto the platform and onto a trolly. Ron and Hermione headed towards their parents while the twins wove their way towards the Flamels.
Just as Harry and Alice were about to grab the portkey, they were knocked over by two people.
"Stay safe." Hermione whispered hugging Alice then Harry. "And promise to write every few days. Swear it."
"I swear." They both said, small smiles on their faces.
"Bye." Ron said. He was still working on the speaking thing. "You'll have to come ovvver thiss summmerr." His words slurred slightly but Harry got it.
"Yah, we will. I promise. I'll see you guys." Alice and Harry said simultaneously.
The four laughed beofre Ron and Hermione Disappeard into the crowd knfe again.
"Come along." Penny said pointing to the portkey again. Harry a d Alice each placed a finger on the medallion and seconds later they were gone.
