"Holy Fuck."

Those were the words that spilled out of Lauren's mouth as she slumped down on her seat. Her first day on the job was finally over. She hasn't been this tired since college and that's saying a lot. Camila's schedule was so hectic that Lauren had to endure meeting after meeting, errand after errand.

After about 15 minutes Lauren was all set to go home. She was unsure whether or not to see Camila before she left. Deciding to at least say goodbye and thank you, Lauren knocked on Camila's office door.

"Come in."

Lauren slowly slipped into the office and was shocked to see Camila still typing away on her computer. The younger girl looked so focused that Lauren was beginning to feel guilty about coming in and disturbing the other girl.

"May I help you Lo?" Camila finally looked up at Lauren, offering the older girl a small smile.

"I just wanted to drop by and say thanks Camz. Getting this job means a lot honestly. I don't know what I'd do if I were still unemployed until now."

Camila grinned at Lauren and then she stood up from her chair and approached Lauren.

"I didn't have to think twice about hiring you Lo. I know what you're capable of. To be honest, you're even overqualified to be my assistant. Your talent should not be wasted away by writing down notes in meeting rooms. Don't worry, I'll figure something out for you."

"You don't have to do anything Camz."

"I don't have to but I want to Lauren. I know I don't deserve your trust and friendship because of everything that has happened but I believe that we can make this right."

They were awkwardly standing in front of each other not knowing what the next move was. It was Camila who broke the awkward silence.

"Can I give you a hug Lo?"

Lauren didn't even think twice about wrapping her arms around Camila. They both held onto each other like they were making up for all the time that has passed.

"I missed you so much Camz."

"I missed you too Lo. I'm really really sorry for leaving you and being selfish. I was inconsiderate of your feelings, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm truly sorry."

They slowly let go of each other but before fully letting go, Lauren took hold of Camila's arms.

"It's all in the past now Camz."

Camila woke up earlier than usual the next day but she seemed very energized. She had a certain bounce in her steps, she was singing in the shower and she actually was in the mood to cook some breakfast food. Camila was so chipper that if you saw her you would think that she was a morning person, in which she is not.

After doing her morning routine she realized it was way too early to go to the office so she went and stayed on her couch. Camila couldn't stay still on her seat and she was constantly looking over the wall clock to check what time it was. Her last time check it was 6:45am and she doesn't usually arrive in her office until around 7:30am.

Camila decided to go in extra early today because she was getting bored out of her mind. She arrived in her office 15 minutes later and got settled.

Camila checked her planner to see if she had any meeting lined up today. She was happy she only had two meetings today, one at 9:30am and another at 2pm.

'I wonder if Lauren would be up to lunch today.' Camila made a mental note to ask Lauren out to lunch and play catch up.

Camila heard someone putting down stuff outside and she looked over the clock and noticed it was still 7:10am. She was surprised because no employee of hers was usually in this early especially Dinah.
