Chapter 5: In The End

*Ashley's P.O.V.*

CC had walked out with tears in his eyes, as Sandra had too. Everybody figured it'd be best if I saw her last. I think out of all of us so far, CC took it the hardest. I admit, I've known the man for years, and in all those years, not once, have I ever seen him so broken down. It was like as if the man's life was literally over.

When CC was with Amanda, the rest of us made up a list of who went when. First was CC, then Sandra. After Sandra, whoever wanted to go, simply went. Okay, maybe we really didn't quite have a list.

Everyone's girlfriends and sisters, outside of CC's of course, all went before the guys and I. Jinxx was the last of us, before me, to go. He looked heartbroken as he returned, much like CC and Sandra did.

Honestly, at first, I was slightly confused by this, but then I remembered Jinxx had become almost a father figure towards Amanda. He basically had replaced Sandra as her best friend.

I was happy to see Jinxx and Amanda so close. They were happy too, which made it even better. I know she wishes she could be that way with CC. Now that I'm okay with it, she can't. Why do I always fuck shit up?

I was pulled out of my thoughts by the sound of Jinxx's voice, "Ashley. Ashley? It's your turn. Amanda wants to see you."

I looked up, and sure enough, there was Jinxx, standing in front of me, waiting on a response. Was he smiling? Did he say she wanted to see me? How could any of that be true?

His smile grew as he said, "She's awake. She's talking too. She's asking for you."

I screamed in joy then jumped up and hugged Jinxx. I let go of him and ran off to her room with a ridiculously huge smile on my face. I burst through the door to see those kind blue eyes staring at me. Just seeing those eyes once again made me want to cry.

"Ash.", she whispered seemingly weak.

The smile on my face only grew at the sound of her warm voice once again.

"Amanda.", I said as I smiled and approached her.

When I reached her I embraced my baby sister in a tight, yet gentle, hug.

"Oh Ash," she mumbled against my hair, "I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have done something so stupid over something so small. I could've just talked to you first. I've missed you so much."

She almost cried as she spoke. I just nodded reassuringly and soothingly rubbed my hand in circles on her back, she relaxed instantly. We sat there in each others' embrace for a while before she pulled away, looking at me seriously.

"Ash," she whispered, "Is it true? I heard, you gave CC and I, your blessing. Is that true?"

Tears formed at the edges of her eyes. I could tell she expected me to say no. I didn't though.

"Yes. Of course it is. Why wouldn't it be? He's definitely proven himself true these past few days. He's worthy. Trust me, once you're released, he'll be eagerly waiting for you.'

She looked ready to cry out of pure joy, shock and happiness. This only brought an even larger smile to my face. She pulled me into another tight hug.

I pulled away and asked, "Well, how are you feeling?"

"Great.", she said as her voice was regaining its natural strength and a smile spread across her face.

"Good," I said and smiled back then modded, "Now, lets see, where do I go to sign your discharge papers?"

AHHHHH!!!!!! AMANDA'S OKAY!! YAY!!! Ashley's gonna sign her discharge papers then her and CC get to start their life together! Yay!!! Finally!(:
