Chapter Four - Let the Games begin

Dan's POV
I walk around thinking about Arizona. She is going down the wrong path, but if she's coming over for Jenny, maybe I can convince her.

''Hey Dan!'', someone greets me. It's my lovely girlfriend.

''Hey, Serena.'', I say back.

''So about what on Gossip Girl is...''

''Oh, yeah. I don't know why that is.''

''So you're on our side?''

''Well, side.. I'm not picking sides.''

''Why not? Dan, this girl is insane.''

''Yeah, I'll just.. I'll call you later okay?'', I say walking away. This is insane.

--- At Humphry Residence ---

''Dad, Jenny. I'm home.'', I say. It's about five thirty now. Had an extra class.

''Hi!'', Jenny greets back. ''You remember Arizona?''

Then I see her sitting there, next to Jenny. She looks diffrent than at school. At school she looked like, well, the Sass Queen they say she is. Like expensive skirts and high heels, hair perfectly straight. But now, she's just wearing designer jeans, a black t-shirt and a shirt over it. You'd think she's just casual.

''Hey Dan. You want to sit?'', she proposes.

''Sure.'', I say and sit down with them. It looks like they're playing a game. I play with and afterwards, Jenny goes to the bathroom.

I'm about to say something, but our phones beep. Seriously, Gossip Girl?

People say the great Nate Archibald isn't so great anymore. After a night out with Chuck, his aunt and uncle didn't want him anymore. They sent him out. Wondering what he's going to do next?

''Ow, wow.'', I say as I read it. Arizona thinks deeply and then realises something. Before she could say it, the doorbell rings.

''I'll get that.'', I say and walk to the door, seeing Nate Archibald.

''Hey, Nate. Um.. This..'' Isn't a good time, I wanted to say, but then I see that Arizona is gone and a window is open.

''Is the perfect time. I saw Gossip Girl.'', I continue.

''Yeah, well, I know you sided with Arizona, but I need someone to turn to.''

''Sure, come in, Nate.''

We both sit down and he starts talking. ''My parents are out of town and for Christmas too. My aunt and unlce take care of me, turns out they hired a private detective to follow me around and last night, we got into a pretty good fight, so I left.''

''Okay, I get that, but why not Chuck or Blair? You know, your girlfriend.''

''Because I left things weird. Arizona made sure of that. I'm even thinking Blair and Chuck are seeing each other behind my back.''

''Well, as long as it's okay with my dad and Jenny, you can stay here as long as you want.''

''Who can?'', my dad asks as he comes in.

''Hey dad. You know Nate. He needs a place to sleep, can he crash here for a night or two, five.''

''Sure, yeah. Make yourself at home, Nate. I'm Rufus.'' They both shake hands.

''What's Nate doing here? Where is Arizona?'', Jenny asks. I hear that there is a certain hate when she speaks his name.

''He's gonna crash here for a few weeks, Jenny.'', my dad says.
