Chapter 1; Be Alright
Boy am I glad I joined track AND cross country when I was younger. Avery, well she ran when there was a sale at the mall. Anyways, we're running for our lives, right?
All of a sudden I hear "CHARLOTTE JO-ANNE MAINA!" I whip my head around, to see the sight of my family. A five-year-old brother named Vince, a three-year-old sister named Erika, and a thirteen-year-old brother named Drew. They were running along side my parents, except for Drew of course. Independent teenage boy thing I guess. My parents names are Jason and June.
Vince was the one who called me. He recently discovered middle names, so he likes to address people with their middle names.
"Hey Vin! You doing okay?"
"I'm scared" was his adorable reply.
"Don't worry, Vin. Everything's gonna Be Alright. Just run." I advise. We were a big distance from the robots, but we still ran for safety.
"Wait! Charly!" Erika yells. She calls me that, I don't know why. Not like Charlie, but like the beginning of my name (Char) added with an -ly.
"Yes?"
"What I if something happens to me?" her little voice sounds so scared, it kills me.
"I will do everything I can just to see you live okay. Alright?" I try to stay strong and not cry, for Erika.
"Run, Charly. Run. Please. Be safe."
I nod, and start to run with Avery again. Before I know it, I hear a scream. Several screams actually. Male and female. I turn around to see my family getting taken by President David's robots. All of them. Except me.
"Avery! Run! Run fast!" She turns around, seeing my family. We both run, as fast as possible. And before I can think, tears are streaming down my face. They've been taken.

Hello there! :-P So I've decided to make the title of each chapter a song title. But not just a raandom song, it's going to be a line a character says. For instance, this one is Be Alright. If you are not familiar with the song, it's on the Justin Bieber album Believe. I love it! I'm going to try to put a link on the side if I can figure it out. :-P So enjoy my new story!
