Chapter 26...

Everyone departs going to the grand hall after the throne room. I decide walk back toward the dining hall. "Edlyn!" I hear my name being shouted and I turn to see Thorin walking toward me. I smooth the front of my dress down and cross my hand over the other in front of me.

"Yes?"

"Let's go somewhere a little more private," He grabs my arm and leads me down corridors, until we stop in this one of the hallways. He checks to see if anyone is around and then turns to me. I examine his white and gold attire; a gold circlet also sits upon his head. "What are you doing here?" He asks leaning into my face.

"I was invited...what's it too you?" He slides one of his hands on my face. I feel my face starting to heat up. I back away from him.

"You can't be with me, remember? You're a Prince, I'm just...well...me." I roll my eyes.

"I will choose who I want to be with, so what if I'm royalty! Edlyn...I cannot stop thinking about you. Forget what I said before! When I saw you for the first time I was interested in you...you were right I just didn't want to admit it." He quickly says stepping toward me.

"You said it yourself we are different people..." He grabs my face and starts shaking his head.

"It's too late...it was too late when I said it Edlyn..." His face looks as if he's pained in some way. "I have..." His eyes drop. "I have already fallen madly in love with you." He looks at me with his extremely beautiful blue eyes. My heart is pounding in my chest...no man, elf, or dwarf has ever felt this way about me. All words have left me.

"I..." But nothing else seems to come out, I don't even know what I want to say. His face saddens.

"I can see you don't feel the same." He let's go of me and quickly turns away. I watch him start to walk down the hall a little ways.

"Stop!" I yell. He slowly turns back around. I lift my dress up a little of the ground and gracefully make my way to him. I slide my hands in his then I kiss him lightly on the lips. I try to pull away but his lips crash to mine once more. I don't know what it is about this dwarf but I am falling way too fast.
