"I'm okay", I said looking in the mirror.
The old broken mirror that seemed less flawed than me. I sighed and continued staring. I had to make sure no one could see the new bruised formed on my cheek covered by my cheap foundation.
I always did this before going to school. Just one more year and you can leave this place. I looked in the mirror one last time before leaving. I walk slowly not wanting to wake up Uncle Gabe. He's probably still drunk from last night. I finally close the door and welcome the moist air.
