Epilogue

*Seventeen Years Later*

 "Pass it over here!"

"No, dad, me! Over here! To me!"

"No, uncle Harry, me! Pick me!"

"Get on with it, Hazza, pick a boy!"

"He's never going to kick that ball, I swear..." Danielle muttered, sipping on her mojito. Chelsea giggled furiously as she braided Sophia's hair.

"You know men and their football..." she said. Suddenly, she gasped. "Here comes Ella." We all turned to see Ella, Niall and Chelsea's second eldest, run up the beach toward the boys. We all watched intensely as she sprinted towards them and stole the football from between Harry's feet.

"OI, ELLA, NO FAIR! BOYS ONLY!" Gavin, Danielle's son, shouted.

"Shut up, Gav! Look at her go!" Xavier, Gavin's twin, protested, watching Ella in awe. Gavin punched his shoulder.

"You're only saying that because you fancy her..."

"I do not!"

"Do too!"

"GAV, XAVI, LOOK OUT!" Liam barked, but it was too late. Ella had already pushed through the twins and was on her way toward Linc, who was playing keeper.

"THAT'S MY GIRL! GO ELLA!" Niall cheered from the sidelines. Zayn and Louis laughed, clapping and cheering her on. The boys all ran furiously around her, attempting to stop her before she reached Linc. Dominik, or Nik, Zayn and Sophia's eldest, slid in front of her, but she merely hopped over him and continued running. Leo, Andreas' eldest, stood in her way, yet she managed to kick the ball between his legs.

"Run Ella!" Danielle shouted, jumping up and down.

"Mummy, can I play with the boys too?" Aggie begged, tugging on my shirt as I watched Ella head straight for Linc.

"Not right now, baby, maybe later. Look at Ella go!" I cooed, scooping Aggie up and pointing toward Ella who was now one on one with Linc.

"A pound says she can't make it," Ali, Zayn and Sophia's second oldest, said to Ed, Niall and Chelsea's youngest. Ed scoffed.

"You're so cheap. Five pounds says she'll make it AND she'll do a back flip." Ed muttered. Ali cackled loudly and held out his hand to Ed.

"You're on, Horan." Ali agreed. Ed shook Ali's hand firmly and they both turned their attention back to Ella. Linc bounced on his toes as Ella stood in front of him, preparing herself for the shot. We all watched in silence. The boys didn't attempt to steal the ball from her. She stared straight at Lincoln, and he stared directly back at her.

"Come on, El. We both know you can't make the shot. You'll buckle under pressure. You're gonna shoot it up here, right? In the left corner? It'll bounce off the post, as usual." Linc teased.

"OI, NO MOCKING, LINCOLN!" Niall barked.

"He can do whatever he wants! Its good for Ella, she'll learn to not break when she's under pressure." Harry yelled back.

"You gonna take the shot, love?" Linc pressed.

"Stop talking, Lincoln." Ella growled. Lincoln grinned from ear to ear as Ella's anger became visible. She had a very short temper, much unlike her mother and father. Even from far away, I could see her cheeks redden and her fists begin to clench.

"No way," Lincoln responded. "Are you getting cross with me, love? Come on, El. I'm not getting any younger here."

Ella took a few steps back and then ran straight toward the ball and kicked it at Linc. My breath caught as the ball soared straight for the left corner, just as Lincoln had said. Linc jumped and extended his hands toward the ball. Except, it didn't bounce off the post like he had predicted. The ball brushed past his finger tips and landed straight in the net behind him. The whole family erupted into cheers and screams. Ella squealed excitedly and launched back into a back flip. Ed let out a hoot of victory and turned towards Ali.
