The Smiles

Hey! So I wrote this poem before entering high school. As most of my friends were going to other places and I was left just remembering all the crazy stupid stuff we did when we were together, hoping that none of us will forget each other.

And finally, the time has come
For us to say goodbye and run
Through the memory lane again,
Through the journey of joy and pain.

All the happiness and fun
All the crazy stuff we've done
Along with all the crazy fights
Are the memories that'll be shining bright.

Because you gave me the smiles
I'll remember them until I die
Later on when my eyes do cry
My heart will always remember these smiles
That I had with you!

And now we have to fall apart
A new life's about to start
But these days will remain the best
And to leave you all just stabs my chest.

Time will do its best to erase
All the memories we have gained
I promise you with my heart
This friendship won't fall apart.

We bunked the classes with a smile
Used to tease each other with stupid guys
Kicking and punching all of the time
Fighting on petty things then saying it's alright
Even when my heart screams with pain inside
You still give me the smiles

And you give me the smiles
That I'll remember until I die
Later on when my eyes do cry
My heart will always remember these smiles
I won't forget them my entire life
These moments will be the reason
For me to smile in every season
Because of you
I'll always have the smiles.
