Violet is in her Junior year of high school and she still only has one friend, Carter. She's never trusted anyone ever. Her mom walked out when she was very young and her dad is an alcoholic and he abuses Violet. She also cuts because she thinks it's her only escape. Carter is captain of the football team and has all the girls crushing on him, but he only loves one person. Violet. He knows she doesn't trust him yet, but when she does, he's going to ask her to be his girlfriend. It won't be easy but he knows that, in the end, it will all be worth it.
