becoming an apprentice

Part 1.

It was a cool night in Greenleaf in the Fearclan territory. It had been around 6 moons after beetlekits birth. his mother realized she was going to have an abnormal amount of kits, only two. These two kits where beetlekit and wolfkit, wolfkit was alot larger than his brother and often was alot more lazy. Beetlekit however was small and curious of the world around him always contemplating what to do, he didnt make friends too easily and was always a bit awkward, so once he was about 3 moons old he would start to adventure on his passtime.

He sighed lightly "theres nothing to do" he complained as he walked toward the thunderpath

"i guess il go watch monsters" he sat abruptly near the thunderpath watching the monsters rush by.

"i always hate the smell..." beetlekits face puckered into a sour scrunch.

"Beetlekit!" DreadStar called "what did i say about the thunderpath you dunce!" He yowled angrily.

"That i shoulnt go on it?" He says as he rolls his eyes "you never said i cant sit next to it" he barked

"Dont get bold with me, i think your forgetting who your talking to young man" Dreadstar said firmly

"Dont be hard on him... hes only 6 moons" OwlTalon mumbled to him.

"But the boy never learns! Hes becoming a young man and He just does what he wants. Hel get killed!" Dreadstar added

"Kits will be kits love..." Owltalon said

"Kits can be kits.. but i wont stand for fools." Dreadstar spat "hes also becoming an apprentice" dreadstar exclamed grimly

Beetlekit began trotting back to camp a little late in the evening, his ears ringing from listening to the roar of the monsters, He walked into ther nursery qietly and hopped into his nest.

"I heard you got in trouble today." Gorsekit sneered

"Yeah..so?" Beetlekit whispered in a testy manner

"My dad..he is always so...cold" Beetlekit sighed in dissapointment

They both drifted to sleep to the chirps of crickets and hoots of owls.
