Chapter 5

Rose's P.O.V.

 That was a very good question, one that had me spinning around so fast I was surprised I didn't get whip- lash. Frantically, I looked around, trying catch just a glimpse of Josh...but found nothing.

 "I don't-" Before my sentence could be finished, I was rudely interrupted by my little brother.

 "There he is!" He shouted, while jumping up. Well I guess that was a good reason to cut me off. My eyes followed the direction his finger was pointing and I watched as Josh was still fighting that wolf, along with another one. Both of which were limping, but still kept going after my brother.

 "Stay here. If anybody comes anywhere close to you, run and hide. We'll find you. Okay?" I grabbed his shoulders and looked straight into his eyes as I spoke.He opened his mouth ready to protest,but I narrowed my eyes. The look meaning there was no room for discussion as he instantly closed his mouth, not saying anything just nodding. I pulled him close to me and prayed that would not be the last time I saw my little brother. Gently, I pushed Evan away and gave him a small smile, then turned toward Josh.

 "Rose?" Evan said as I took a step away. I looked over my shoulder at him and nodded my head, silently encouraging him to speak. He turned his head away for a second, then looked back with tear filled eyes. "What if I get lost? What if we lose each other?"

 I sighed, walking back and grabbing him. "Evan, no matter what you are stuck with me. No matter where you are, anywhere in the entire world. I promise that I will find you. Okay?"

 "Okay." He said, pulling me into another hug.

  "Love you, bud." I whispered, kissing the top of his head.

 "Love you too, sis." He whispered back. He tightened his arms,giving me one last squeeze, then dropped them. "Now go help our big brother, before he gets himself killed." I would have laughed, if it would not have been for the slight truth behind the statement.

 "Okay. Now watch me and you'll learn the correct way to kick some ass." I smiled as I heard his laughter behind me as I ran towards Josh.
