Part-4

Arjun told Kudrat that Jasmine Brar belonged to a very rich family. Her father passed away few years ago and her mother, elder brother and sister pampers her a lot. She had this problem that she want everything according to her comfort. She broke up with Robin because Robin wanted to meet her regularly, to spend time with her and this thing was suffocating her. She was ready to talk over phone but was not ready to meet him.

After listening to all the things Kudrat asked,"Pasand kidaan aayi?"

"Bus edan hi. Ki kariye !!"Arjun pouted at the other end of the phone.

"Hmmmm. Hun aa hi gayi ae ta ki kita jaave ( Ab aa gayi hai toh kya kiya jaaye)", Kudrat chuckled at Arjun's cute antics.

" She is a nice girl Kudrat. Bus thodi ji ajeeb haigi ae",Arjun texted.

After that day their chats changed into calls and almost  all the conversations were about Jasmine. Arjun talked about her and Kudrat used to listen him. She sensed that Arjun don't show but he miss Jasmine a lot. She realised that Arjun genuinely liked  Jasmine and it is not some random fling.

Kudrat was worried for her friend. After lots of "samajhaing sessions"  Arjun agreed to talk to Jasmine.

"Ek vaar gal kar lo te gal suljha lo aapas di. Ldai ch kuch ni rakhya(talk and solve the matters. There is nothing in fighting)",Kudrat told him.

"Okay. Hope for the best. I will call her tomorrow and will sort out things",Arjun said.

Arjun called Jasmine next day and as always same thing happened . It was Jasmine's mistake but Arjun appologized for it. But they were on talking terms again.

Kudrat was very happy for Arjun. Their late night chats were reduced to one hour of talking that too about Jasmine. Kudrat was playing a love guru in Arjun and Jasmine's life. Whenever Arjun fight with Jasmine, Kudrat scold him and always take Jasmine's side. Kudrat never met her or talked to her, but she knew that Jasmine was Arjun's happiness and ultimately hers.

Days rolled by and it was mid of december. Kudrat's semester exams started and Arjun's chats with Jasmine was on full swing.

Jasmine never ever talked to him on phone. Texting was the only way of communication. Arjun wanted to talk to her, to hear her voice but Jasmine was very stubborn.

Arjun always come to Kudrat for his problems and Kudrat always helped him like a good friend. Instead of being busy in her exams, she always take out  time for him.

Whenever Arjun complaint about Jasmine that she did this, she did that, Kudrat was the one who used to show its positive side to Arjun.

And finally after lots of fights and arguments one day Arjun confessed to Jasmine that he liked her and after little bit of tantrums she agreed  that she too liked him. Arjun was on the top of the world.

"Kudraaaaattttttt",Arjun was almost singing out of happiness.

"Ki gal?? Enaa khush!!( what happened?)", Kudrat asked.

"Guess what!! Jasmine said yes", Arjun shouted on the phone.

"Omg!! You are not kidding na?? I am so happy Arjun. Party kithe?(where is the party?)",Kudrat was very happy for Arjun.

"Jithe tu kahe othe(wherever you want)",Arjun said happily.

"Yaad rakhin. Mukar naa jayin",Kudrat teased him.

"Nah ji nah",Arjun was literally dancing in happiness.

"Chal hje main pdhna ae. Paper ae kal mera. Tuc ishq pdhaiyaan karo, main apni pdhaiyaan kar lawan( let me study now. I have an exam tomorrow. You do love lessons, let me learn mine)",Kudrat winked over phone.

"Chal padh le. Bye. Take care.(you study now)"Arjun said.

"Meri party yaad rakhin. Bye. You too take care", Kudrat hanged up.

She was very happy because  Arjun was happy. She smiled a beautiful smile and resumed her study session.

Days rolled by and Kudrat was done with her exams. In exams ,she was all burried under her books thats why Arjun's absence was not bothering her much though she missed him in those days also. But now when she came out from her heap of books she was missing him very much. But she restricted herself from messaging him first. She never wanted Arjun giving Jasmine's time to her.

Kudrat know that Arjun's relationship is new and to nurture it Arjun need to spend his time with Jasmine. Kudrat never been in any relationship in past but she knew these basic rules of relationships.

She was very happy for Arjun and Jasmine's relationship that she even gave treat to her friends.

Arjun's most of the time was for Jasmine but he always take out an hour for talking to Kudrat . That one hour used to be the best part of Kudrat's day. She was not in love with Arjun but she loved him. As a friend. She cared for him. She was happy that Arjun was happy.

It was one month of Arjun and Jasmine's relationship. Kudrat was sleeping in her room. It was midnight when her phone buzzed. Her slumber broke from the ringtone. She was about to pick the call but it missed.

She checked her phone and there were 5 miss calls and 20 messages from Arjun. She panicked beacause Arjun never called her at this point of time. She called Arjun and he picked it after one ring.

"Hello",Kudrat chipped.

No one spoke from the other end.

"Hello Arjun. You there??,Is everything okay??why aren't you speaking??Arjun. Kuch bolo",Kudrat was worried that why Arjun was not speaking.

"Hello",Came a faint voice from the other end.

"Hello Arjun. You okay?? Why are you sounding so low??", Kudrat asked.

"Kudrat o Jasmine...",Arjun whispered.

"Hanji dusso..ki hoya ae Jasmine nu??( yeah tell. What happened to her??)",Kudrat asked.

"Tomorrow is our one month anniversary and I wanted to meet her. But as always she refused and we had a fight. She always do this. Naa phone chukdi ae mera na milan aaundi ae(Neither she pick my calls nor she ever agreed to meet me)",Arjun complainted like a child.

Till now Arjun was very disturbed because of his fight with Jasmine but as soon as he talked to Kudrat he felt relaxed.

"Haaye mereya rabba. Tusi  Es gal karke ini raat nu mainu phone karde c(oh my god.You are calling me at 12 to te this)", Kudrat chuckled.

"You think its funny?"Arjun asked.

"Arjun listen. Give her some more time. Make her feel comfortable. Don't force her to meet you. When she will feel like she herself will ask you to meet her. Okay?",Kudrat make him understand.

"You are my friend or her?? You always take her side. You are my friend and you should take my side",Arjun complainted like a kid.

"Arey!! You both are on the same side. Toh I am with you both",Kudrat smiled over the phone.

"Ho gayi dialoguebaazi shuru",Arjun said.

"Hehe. Vo toh humare khoon mein basi hai",Kudrat giggled.

"Yeah right",Arjun said and rolled his eyes.

"Chalo now talk to Jasmine. Don't spoil your day by fighting with her. And let me sleep now",Kudrat chipped.

"Theek aa. Soja. Good night.",Arjun said.

"Good night",Kudrat wished him night and hanged up.
