The Day Juvia Lockser Broke Pt.1

November 20th

Juvia Lockser walked to the guild with a smile plastered on her face. She had a gift for her beloved "Gray-sama"and couldn't wait to see his reaction.

"Oh Juvia, How could I have not seen your love sooner? Let's get married!" Juvia imagined Gray sweeping her off of her feet and smooching her. The bluenette held her red cheeks smiling. "Oh Gray-sama~"

As the water mage entered the guild her eyes darted to Gray and she hurried over. She gave an embarrassed grin. "Ah- G-Gray-sama!"She said holding her arms behind her back. He looked at her with his cold, onyx eyes and said, "Oh hey Juvia... What's up..?" She stared at his messy raven hair and the blush grew on her face. "M-may Juvia touch Gray-sama's hair?" She asks creeping a hand towards his soft looking hair. Gray gave an embarrassed response of scooting away and coughing.

"Er, is there anything else you needed Juvia..? "He asked, trying to change the subject.

Juvia gave a small pout but quickly got over it as she pulled out the gift. " Its Juvia and Gray-sama! They are even holding hands!" The gift was a plush version of Juvia and Gray, the plushies hands where locked together and they where both smiling.

"Oh.." Was all Gray could respond as he stared at the two dolls.

Juvia pushed the dolls forwards. "Juvia wants Gray-sama to take them! Oh and Juvia also has-" Juvia began reaching into her bag to pull something else out but Gray interrupted.

"Look Juvia, I understand how you feel about me. But I only see you as a guild mate and nothing more." Gray says standing ",So please leave me alone..." He says starting to walk away.

"Ah- wait!" Juvia called, grabbing his arm.

"NO JUVIA! JUST STOP," Gray snapped," I DON'T LIKE YOU LIKE THAT JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Juvia stumbled back from his harsh words. The rest of the guild stopped what they where doing and focused on the commotion. "Oi Gray, lay off her-" Natsu began, putting an arm on his shoulder, but Gray pushed him away. "NO I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE. ITS ANNOYING!"

"...annoying...-" Juvia whimpered, her voice was choked up. Gray seemed to have calmed down and he looked at her with regret. "Juvia I-"

"No... Its okay Gray-sam-Gray.... Juvia understands.. It'd be better if she left." Juvia said, finally letting her tears escape and running out of the guild. Gray watched her run away and let out a sigh.Soon everyone went back to there own business and so did Gray.

He sat at a table drinking out of a mug and earned numerous disgusted looks from fellow guild members.. Suddenly someone grabbed him by the ear and pulled him outside. They shoved him onto the ground and Gray looked up to see a very pissed off Erza, MiraJane, and Lucy.  He sighed and rubbed his ear. "What do you want.?"

"You'd better make it up to Juvia." Erza says angrily.

"She'll be fine tomorrow." Gray responded trying to keep calm.

"Why did you snap at her anyway?" Mira asked.

Gray sighed and looked down. "Yesterday..."

"Yesterday?" Lucy asked.

"Yesterday I got back from a job. I got back really late and didn't sleep very well. Over all I had about 2 and a half hours of sleep.. I was just cranky.."

Erza and Mira gave eachother a look of understanding but Lucy stayed quiet.

"Lately shes been talking suicidal thoughts...." Lucy said softly, looking the other way.

"What?!" They all yell in unison.

"She made me promise not to tell okay!? I only say it now because I'm worried about her..." Lucy explained.

"Why was she having those thoughts?!" Erza asked.

"She's been stressed out lately. And she's felt a bit neglected by everyone.. She gets depressed pretty easy so it wasn't very surprising to see her get sad after Gray got mad at her.."

Gray rose to his feet and ran off heading for Juvia. "JUVIA!" He yelled as he entered Fairy Hills, "JUVIA!" He ran to her room that was painted to look like it was raining. He broke her door open an his eyes widened. All the Gray dolls where ripped to shreds. Her curtains where closed. But Juvia was no where to be found, that was until Gray saw a few blood spots leading into the bathroom.

He opened the door and he let out a gasp. Juvia was on the ground, her arms where slit and there was an empty bottle of pills on the ground beside her. Gray grabbed her palm an felt a faint pulse. He lifted her into his arms bridal style and ran to the hospital. He felt guilt as he watched her face drain of its color. This was his fault..

Juvia ran to her home in Fairy Hills. She slammed her door shut but didn't think to lock it, and honestly she didn't care. She threw a Gray doll against the wall. Her hot tears ran down her face and trickled to the floor. Her heart felt like it was rising to her throat and she fell onto the ground. As she sat on the floor, pressed against the cold wall and holding herself, she thought of all the times Gray hurt her. The times he rejected her, the times he left her in the dust...

She stood and started viciously ripping the Gray dolls to shreds. She stumbled into her dresser and opened the first drawer where there was a knife. Without a second of hesitation she began cutting her soft skin. Juvia grimaced in pain but continued the assault on her self.  Every cut she made she thought of times Gray hurt her.

After cutting enough to the point she felt dizzy, she began to wobble into the bathroom and pulled out a bottle of pill. She stared at them and began to cry. She dumped the pills down her throat and swallowed hard. She shakily laid on the cool bathroom floor and tried falling to sleep, knowing she wouldn't wake up. As she started closing her, she heard her name being called in the distance.

 "JUVIA!"

Gray-sama....

"JUVIA!!"

Juvia's..... sorry...

Gray paced down the hallway, biting his thumb waiting for the doctors to tell him of her conditions.

"Gray!" Lucy yelled running to him along with Erza, Natsu, and Happy, "We heard what happened. Is Juvia okay?!"

Gray looked down and didn't answer. Erza put a hand on his shoulder in a way of comfort and the look he gave her nearly made her cry. There was so much guilt and sorrow in his eyes. The doctor walks out and Gray's eyes glimmer with hope, but the look on the doctors face drained any ounce of hope left in Gray.

"Miss Lockser is in a coma... the likely hood of her waking up is-"

"Shut up! She's gonna wake up!" Gray yelled and threw his arms into the air. Erza grabbed him and held him until he calmed down. The doctor cleared his throat.

"We will be keeping her here until she wakes up or...." The doctor's voice trailed off as he stared at Gray.

"Thank you sir... May we see her?" Erza asked while giving Gray a concerned look. The doctor nods slightly and opens the door to Juvia's room. They all walk into the room and Lucy breaks down into tears. Juvia was attached to many different machines and I.V's. Natsu comforts Lucy and Erza stared at her and softly took one of her hands.

Gray pulled a chair up next to Juvia and held her hand. He whispered. "I'm sorry Juvia....." but was so quiet no one heard him.

December 1st Gray's P.O.V

They tried making me leave you Juvia. But I refused. I won't leave you, ever. I take her hand again and hear the door open. It was Lyon. His face quickly went pale. "W-What happened?" He asked moving to the other side of Juvia. I explained all of what happened and he pinned me against the wall.

December 2nd

I have a black eye now Juvia.

December 3rd

Erza is forcing me to go home and sleep. I'll see you tomorrow Juvia.
