A week has gone by. I've been training like crazy for nothing. I get up from bed, slowly and carefully, and I exit my cabin.
I have not seen my family in a week. That is too long for me. I wonder how it feels for my sister and mom living without me. What if they need me? The wondering continues.
After thinking, I enter the kitchen and scout for something to satisfy my gurgling stomach. Chips, bore's meat, cow milk, sausage, cereal, potatoes. Cereal it is. I find a bowl and a spoon along with cow milk and reduce my hunger.
After the delightful breakfast, I guess, I walk outside and meet Alex.
"Guess what's happening today!" He says in delight.
"What"
"Guess."
"We are training again?"
"No"
"Oh. So what?"
"Hunting"
"Hunting for food. What fun."
"No. Hunting monsters! "
I recoil with excitement yet also with horror. Monsters? Did he say monsters? Does he think that I can slay such a thing that could swallow me whole? He has to be joking.
"Follow me." He yells as he runs down a path.
I follow him to where he pulls out little marbles no larger than a quarter. They are colorful and artsy. Alex tosses one of them, green and ugly. It sprouts out a monster. It stands green and slimy with no teeth. I think to myself that this is no problem considering that it also has no arms.
"Be careful. It explodes if threatened."
Ok so now you tell me this.
"It's called a Creeper."
Sounds like a stalker. I take out my bow and small dagger if needed. I aim for its eyes, guessing that it is its weak spot. Unfortunately, that's not it. I shoot in numerous places, yet it is still alive. In a flash, BOOM!!! The creeper gone, yet a crater under me. Falling to the ground, I scream.
"Oh come on." Alex teases.
He tosses another marble at me and I step back as far as I can. It was white with small fireballs painted on it. Ooh, what fun. A large ten foot ghost appears with eight long legs that enables it to fly. What? How am I supposed to kill this thing?
I pull out an arrow and aim for it. The arrow flys through the monster.
"REEEEEEEAAAAAAKKKK!!!" The monster barks
Next, I take my knife then I scrape off part of one of its legs.
"GWWWWWAAAAAAAAA!"
Ok. I curse then find a potion that I had made a few days ago. It is poison. I through the potion and it explodes. The monster does somewhat of a cough and explodes. But, it's not dead. It reforms.
The giant cotton ball blows four large fireballs at me. BLAST, BOOM. A fireball reaches a tree. The tree is now afire. I shoot at it, like before, no luck. The forest is now on fire. I see animals running from their habitats and more fireballs charging at me. SLICE. My knife takes my pain, but I fall backwards on the ground. Ouch. I open the palm of my hand to find a red liquid. I am angry.
My eyes hurt. My heart feels like it will explode. One last time, I shoot a the ghost. No luck. BOOM! I see the light. Is my time over? Done so fast? As I fall, I see Alex taking action.
"Hey! Hey! Are you okay? I will ......"
Blackout.
