You woke up with a weird feeling in your stomach, as if your body wanted to tell you something. Making yourself a cup of tea, the feeling slowly eased and you decided to not be bothered by it any more. It could've been because of the alcohol last night or because you didn't sleep well. Last night... You had mixed feelings thinking about the night before. Then, the meeting or rendezvous or whatever you want to call it came into your mind. You took a glance at the clock and it showed 1:30 pm. Thank god, you still had enough time to get ready.
That guy, Jaebum, surely got your attention with his weird acting. You wondered, how he would be like today. Well, if it was really just to give him back his money, you wouldn't be able to talk to him much but was asking him to stay at the café with you a bit too much so soon? But how would you get to know him then? Maybe he already had something planned, who knows?
"Hyung, let's go to the cinema! Pets is now out!" Yugyeom and Bambam, two of Jaebum's roommates and close friends suggested while they were all having breakfast. Before Jaebum could say anything to them Jackson spoke up. "He can't, he's got a date later" Everyone's eyes went wide and Jaebum shot his friend a glance. "It's not like that!" He tried to defend himself and clear the situation but his friends were already all over him, asking him questions about who he was going out with. "Please just be quiet for a moment, ok?!" He yelled and instantly everyone sat down in their places again. "I lent someone money last night and this person will give back to me later, it's really no big deal. Got it?" He didn't even wait for a response but stood up and left for his room.
"How do they even know?" Jaebum asked himself as he let his body fall onto his bed.
It was a rather sunny day, little bit windy, perfect to spend the day at a café. You were really excited about what would happen in that small construction. 2:50pm was what your watch said. You were always that type of person that would come rather too early than too late, you hated waiting for someone, if you set a time to meet up.
Entering the café, the intense smell of coffee made its way through your nostrils. You didn't like to drink coffee but to smell it. You took a seat close to the windows and immediately a waiter came to take your order, which was a cup of green tea.
This place was one of your favorites because the employees were always friendly and you just like the atmosphere the facility caused, it was just comfortable.
All six of Jaebum's friends were like him but he was the leader of their small group. When they had a problem they would always talk to him about it first. They were like brothers to each other, knowing the other one better than oneself. So it was unusual of Jaebum to keep her a secret from them but his guts told him to do so. He thought they could still be too immature to understand his feelings, his curiosity towards her or maybe he just wanted to protect her. She was clearly different from the others and he had the urge to get to know her better.
"But we can go after he got his money back, right? We can just wait outside, it won't take long" He heard Bambam talk to the others outside his room. Jaebum got up and left his room again. "Fine. We'll go to the cinema after I got it back" He wanted the meeting to be different but seeing no other way to get them off her path, he gave in. He just hoped she would not be too confused or even disappointed.
Your watch just changed from 2:59pm to 3:00pm as Jaebum entered the café. "At least, he's on time" You thought and waved him over but he didn't sit down. You looked at him confused, then you remembered. Searching for your purse to give him his money, you saw from the corner of your eye that he grabbed your napkin. It took you some time to find it but eventually you gave it to him and he was gone just seconds later. Your eyes followed him until he got back into the black car he exited just moments ago. That was totally not what you had expected. He could've at least stayed for a few minutes and drink a coffee what else was the reason to meet here?
He felt bad. Her face looked anything else but happy as he left again so soon. She definitely was disappointed but he didn't have another choice.
You were annoyed but still stayed until you had finished your tea. The waiter had perhaps noticed your changed mood since he tried to cheer you up with a free piece of cake. As you were about to leave the napkin caught your eye. Something dark was shining through it. You turned it around and found something written on there. "I'm sorry that I have to leave so quickly again but I have a good reason for doing so. Meet me at the park tonight at 9pm, please" Your mouth fell agape. He really was something. You put the napkin into your bag and left the café after thanking the waiter again.
Should you go?
