Zombie Apocalypse

Two lifeless eyes looked at me. I stabbed my knife through one of them and then stabbed my knife twice in his head. No it wasn't a human being, not a person, not a living thing. I'm not a murderer. I live in a apocalypse, yes one as you read in books and have seen in series. There are zombies everywhere, we call them walkers. Zombies are people where only 1 part of the brain is living. The rest of the person is dead. This virus is already in you. It is in every person who lives in the apocalypse. You can not just get it by being bitten. When you die you become a zombie. That's how easy it is. It makes you hungry for brains and other body parts. 

There are not only walkers, you have runners, walkers and killers. Killers are the protectors of every one who's alive. You can resemble them with the army in a normal world. A runner is a surviver. Surviver of the zombie apocalypse. That's someone who isn't bitten yet and still is completely human. I'm a surviver of the apocalypse, fighting for my live. I'm a runner. And a killer who's trying to keep myself alive. Yes i can hear you thinking. Why murdering the walker with a knife? A gun would be much more easy. Because sound attracts walkers. So when i shoot one walker, i will wake-up with thousands of them next to my bed the next morning. 

My family is infected, at least that's what i think. I've lost them since the virus broke out. I'm the only one left of the Bennett family. My name is Lucy, Lucy Bennett. I will tell you about my first day in the zombie apocalypse.

"Lucy, a red code is signed, there will be a big storm so would you please come down to check the news?", "Yeah mom, just one second". I finished my homework and left my stuff on my desk". Sighing i went downstairs. I don't like the news, there are always bad things on the news, never a good thing. Always plain crashes, accidents, people that died, storms, whatever. Or celebreties, i almost for get, blegh celebreties i hate them. People that never have to work for money, status or else. Mom was already watching the news when i've got downstairs. That voice of Jerry Adams (the usual newsreader) with his colleague Lana Johnson. Mom stared shocked at the television screen and putted the sound a lot higher. "Mom, what's wrong?" She shushed me and i started watching the news.

"Next to the fact that there will be a big storm, we have to tell you something else. It's bad, really bad. People please don't panic after hearing this! Stay inside and close/lock all your windows and doors. Our biggest nightmare will become truth. Nobody thought it would become true, there is a virus-outbreak of a zombie-virus. Not just like ebola, thousands times worse. A zombie virus just like in the books, movies and else. Please search for a safe place and take as much food and stuff as you can and lock everything until the government says that the situation is under control. "Thank you Jerry" said Lana. "The virus attacks the brains of humans to which follows a slow painful death. After which the virus to be restarted the brains again, but not the parts with the memories and personality. Man is an inanimate object which is hungry for another people. ""It has already been mentioned, there is a Zombie Apocalypse," said Lana.

I sank to the floor and everything slowly dawned on me. This is not possible, I thought, a Zombie Apocalypse, that only happens in series and movies. I am watching the walking dead, iZombie and other series as such. I love it, all things that can never happen, just like teen wolf. However, a serious zombie Apocalypse, this is not possible. They keep us fooled. This can't be true, newscasters can not fool us right? I started to panic, no this is not true ..... This can not be true !! I began to hyperventilate. My mother began to panic and my parents started to cry. This can not be true. I got too much breath and was light in my head, then I fainted. 

That was indeed the first day I heard that there was a virus outbreak. Now  half a year later and i learned to take care of myself. I am a killer and a runner. Just as in the series. Some call them walkers, some call them the walking dead. I call them walkers. Welcome to my world; the Zombie Apocalypse.
