Two years ago

''Damon! Where are you? It's time for your training.'', Mackenzie yells. No, not again. I hate these trainings.

Mom left for her work in Paris for a week, and she hired Mackenzie to be my 'nanny'. She needs to make sure I train every day, wich by the way completly sucks. I do understand why I get these trainings, but it ruined my childhood.

I mean, we lived happily for two years, with both of my parents alive and well, but my mom left us after those years, leaving a note behind saying she needed change.

It went well, we managed to keep ourselves busy and didn't talk about my mom. One day, some men came knocking on the door, looking for mom. To protect her, we said we didn't know a 'Grace'.

They shot my dad and my brother, David, tried to protect me. He hid me in the closet. They kidnapped him, thinking they left nothing behind. Not knowing we were twins. I still miss him every day and I try to be like him. He's my hero.

One year ago, my mom came to look for me and I said dad and David died because men were lokking for her. He probably died, and I didn't want to tell her he got kidnapped. My heart still hurts when I think about him.

Afterwards, she told me about her job. An undercover FBI-agent. She said that was the reason she had to leave. Now, I have to able to keep myself safe. She said her last children and husband died because they didn't know how to fight and I was the last loved one she had left.

But now, I'm good at everything, so what?

''Come on, Mackenzie. I can skip one day, right?''

''This is a hard world, Damon. Only the hard people survive.''

Nate's POV

''Oh, Blair..'', I start. I don't really know what to say. I mean, the picture is obviously fake and because they turned things around so badly, she must feel awful.

''I know-'', she says at the same time I say: ''Are you allright?''

We look at each other for a moment and she looks confused. I hold her gaze. Her big brown eyes, she would never do that. God, I feel bad for her. Her eyes light up as if she realises something.

''Yeah, I'm just gonna head out early, okay?'' She probably needs some time off.

I nodd. ''Sure, I'l stick with Vanessa.'' I breathe in deeply. Blair will be okay. We just need to vlear this up. I turn around and see Arizona sitting there with her mounth open, her cellphone with the Gossip Girl message in her hand.

''Hey, is everything okay?'', I ask. She doesn't respond. I wave my hands in front of her eyes, but she doesn't even blink. It's like she's paralyzed.

''Hello? Is anybody home in there?''

''Don't waste your efforts, I already tried. I saw the Gossip Girl feed. I don't like Blair, but that she'd do something like this..'', Vanessa says from behind the counter.

''No, I already talked to her, she would never.. You know with someone else.''

''Okay, Nate. Try to wake Aurora in the meanwhile, will you?'' I smile at her. Coincedence, we talked about fairytales this morning. I really need to look up if what she said about the Little Mermaid is true.

''Sure.'', I say.

''Hey, LA, are you okay?'' That rymed. I look deeply into her blue eyes and see how the light falls beautifully on her. I can't help but smile.
