Raven's POV

"I mean have you lost your mind, you're not as strong as you think you are Raven."
"We were just having fun and besides you're the one that's been keeping secrets."
" It was for a reason, I don't need you dragging my pregnant girlfriend around!"
"I get it you don't want something to happen to your baby."
I got up and headed towards the door.
"Raven, you know I didn't mean it like that."
"But it comes off like that you think I don't miss them Josh? Every thought I have revolves around them, I can't move on with my life because I have nightmares. When I found out she was pregnant I just needed to be around her."
"Raven." He said.
"It's fine. You'll never understand."
I walked out of the bedroom and went outside to sit down. Tears ran down my face and I just broke down. Paris sat down next to me and handed me a tissue.
"He doesn't like to admit when he's wrong, so I do it for him. Don't listen to him."
"It's not just that Paris, when I found out you were pregnant my heart skipped a beat. The feeling of being pregnant, having a little one in you is just so incredible."
"You were pregnant?"
" A long time ago I was 6 months just like you, I had the most amazing guy. Can you image me settling with one guy? He was the love of my life, spoiled me rotten," Paris put her hand on top of mine " One day we decided to go out for a drive, he said he had a surprise for me and that I would be happy when I saw it." I paused to catch my breath and collect my thoughts "The road was winding around the bend and he took his eyes off of it for one second. A truck came and slammed into us, I was knocked out and put in intensive care. It took me a week to wake up, at first I was disoriented and then it all came back to me. I jumped out of bed and ran down the hallway, I was expecting to see William but it was my mom, Josh, and my aunt. I've never been hugged so tight in my life and they wouldn't tell me where he was. Some part of me knew that he was gone but I just couldn't except it. The doctor had sent me back to my room and told me that I had miscarried, you know I was gonna name her Willow and she was going to have the most amazing baby room, then he sent the police in and my heart froze, they were asking me questions about what happened and why I wasn't scratched up enough. They thought I killed him because his family had money but I didn't care at all. Before leaving they handed me a red box and told me they found it on William, I..."
Paris pulled me in for a hug and I hugged her back, took a deep breath and continued
"I opened up the box and there it was the most exquisite ring lined with black diamonds, it belonged to his grandmother, he was going to propose to me and make me the happiest girl in the world."
  "Where is the ring, if you don't mind me asking." She questioned.
  "I can't put it on, too many memories are attached to it. I was a bitch to you because I'm jealous of how close you are to my brother, it brings back memories and when I could sense another life in you that's when I changed my mind about you. My mom and Aunt adore you and it only surprised them because a mortal and a vampire can't have babies."
"Except for the fact that I'm a witch."  She explained.
"That makes sense, I thought I couldn't read your mind because Josh had it blocked off but it was you all along."
"He didn't tell you? Did he explain why we are here."
"He said that you needed a break from your job."
"Of course he wouldn't tell you. A couple of months ago I was being hunted by witch hunters and two of them were killed, so to get retaliation they killed my grandmother and Josh thought it would be safer for us to go somewhere. I didn't know where we were going at first until he told me I was going to meet you guys."
"Guess secrets are popular around here, Go talk to him, he might be a pain in the ass but he loves you."
Paris smiled at me and I gave her a hug, she was a little taken back by it but she then hugged me too.
"Welcome to the family, now if you'll excuse me I need to get a drink and something to eat."
I tried to keep my fangs from elongating while saying it. I got up brushed off my jeans, got in my car, and drove away.
