I walked through the large oaken doors, wondering if I could make it out alive.

"You're finally here." A deep voice said behind me. I turned around, and faced him. I took a bow to greet him, trying my best not to shiver in fear. He brought out a silver knife.

The family knife.

"Why must you do this?" I asked him, trying to keep a straight face.

He clutched onto the knife harder. "You have disgraced our family." He replied coldly. "You ran away from home, with that boy." I flinched at the way he said 'boy'. I bit my lip, hiding my anger. "The 'boy's' name is Zachary." I said softly.

"Quiet!" He reprimanded me. "You were never allowed to to leave this house, you were never allowed to see anyone, and you were never allowed to talk back." I closed my eyes to hide the tears that were threatening to come out. "Therefore, I must disown you." He continued. He cupped my chin, and I opened my eyes to face him. "Listen to me, Astrum." He whispered. "I disowned you, and now I am allowed to kill you without any guilt."

A cold hand grabbed my arm, and pulled me backward. I faced the owner, and began pleading. "Mama please." I begged. "Please don't let him do this to me." She looked at me with cold eyes filled with hatred. "I must agree with him, for once, Astrum." She told me in a tone just as cold as her eyes. "You managed to run away with a boy, and bear a child at the young age of seventeen."

I froze at the mention of my baby. "Where is she?" I asked. I wanted to see her so badly.

"'It' is upstairs, being taken care of by Asreed." She replied. "The Delvimus family does not need a disowned daughter. And your child does not deserve to be raised by someone like you."

She continued pulling me then pushed me to the metallic chair-the torture device.

"Mama please!" I begged even more. "Please don't let him do this! Please!"

"I apologize, Astrum, but you brought this onto yourself." She tied a rope to my mouth, and chained my feet, arms and torso onto the chair. "Goodbye, Astrum."

Tears started streaming down my face. "Mama! Mama please! Mama!" I managed to scream even with the rope in my mouth. "Mama!" I cried.

"Are you done screaming?" He asked. I looked at him with pleading eyes. "Please don't do this." I pleaded. "I beg you." He loomed over me, and brought the dagger up. My whole life flashed through my eyes. From the day I played with Asreed, the day we took a swim in the brook, the day I ran away with Zachary, the day he brought me back since I was pregnant, the day I bore my beloved child. Everything that happened to me, to the time being.

I managed to smile as he did something no father should have done to his family. He brought the silver blade to my chest, and into my heart.

Little did everyone know, that I was going to get out of this alive.

While I was away, I made a deal with a witch to allow me to live forever. She told me there was going to be a price, but I accepted either way.

The price was heavy for something like that-I was supposed to die, and I will not be remembered. Everyone I loved must die, but I lived with my philosophy for the rest of my life. I will do anything just to live forever.

But there are only two exceptions to my rule-my child, and Zachary. They're my true family.

"Better they die that I." I muttered softly as he went out of the room.

She just stood there, watching the film about her true ancestor's death. She looked like she was the one about to die. Her ice blue eyes showed sadness throughout the film. As soon as it finished, the rushed out of the room, and into the comfort room.
