"Wake the fuck up!"
One of the masked men yelled as he hit Kai with the butt of his gun. Pain rushed through Kai's jaw, he tasted blood but kept his eyes on the floor.
Kwincy "Kai" Jewel was the youngest drug lord New York had ever seen. At only the age ten he was introduced to the game, people grew well to respect him as well as envy him. He knew one day he'd caught up. He knew he would eventually live, conquer, and die in the game. Thirty years later, today was the day and he was ready.
"Look at me."
The leader of the masked men placed a chair in front of Kai and sat in it. Kai didn't budge. His knees burned from being in the same position for God knows how long.
"Yo, man fuck this we got the money and the coke I say we kill this muthafucka' right now!"
One of the other masked me yelled as he waved his gun. "Shut the fuck up, G!", the last henchman next to him said. G? "Nigga, did you just say my name?", G exclaimed.
"What the fuck is wrong with you!"
"If you would shut the fuck up I wouldn't have to!"
"Nigga, you the one running your fucking lips!"
"What's the fucking difference? We killing this nigga anyway!"The leader of the masked men sighed, "Will both of y'all niggas shut the fuck-", his sentence was interrupted by a menacing laughter that filled the shit smelling abandoned basement.
"The three fucking musketeers."
Kai said in between chuckles. "Monkey see and monkeys fucking do. One smart nigga and the two dumbest fucking goons I ever met in my life, G Baby and Tee. I expected this from ya'. Ya' niggas always hated on me. Always wanted some quick cash. Fucking stickup kids. But you Rah? I expected better.",
Despite the rage that was building up inside him, he spoke calm. The leader of the masked men smirked at the sound of his name. He snatched off his mask, revealing his smooth dark chocolate face.
"Man, what you doing?", G said through gritted teeth. "Shut the fuck up, stupid! He already know it's us.", Tee snatched off his mask as well. "Nigga, that's yo' fault!", G reluctantly took of his mask.
"Kai my muthafuckin' nigga. I'm sorry it had to come to this. I love you, nigga. I really do. You taught me this street shit. The loyalty, the grind, the paper-"
"So what the fuck happened to the loyalty, Rah!", Kai's voice boomed. "I loved you, nigga! Like you was my blood!"
"Nigga, you think I didn't?", Rah stood up, causing the chair to fall behind him. "I'm fucking hungry, Kai! And nigga did you ask me where's the loyalty? You never even let me in the place you rest your fucking head! But I was like blood? Don't you got a sister? Why I ain't never meet her, if I was like blood? Let alone, even see a picture of the bitch!"
"Watch, who the fuck you talking about!"
Kai finally looked up, matching Rah's gaze to his surprise Rah was crying and so was he. "All this for money and a couple of kilos? You know I would've fucking had you! For whatever you needed!
"You cut me off!"
"Nigga, you cut me off! You started moving funny! You left me in the dirt! You started hanging with these bumass' stickup kids! Now that's all the fuck you is!
"You think this about money, nigga! This ain't about money! This about the power! The crown! And now it's my time to have it. Cause you know damn well, you would never give up that fucking throne! Nigga you'd be you could be as old as fucking Morgan Freeman and still be the fucking king! So for me to be the next nigga up, I gotta take out the king.", Rah said as he cocked his .357 SIG.
"You could never be like me, Rah. As long as there's another Jewel out there, you could never truly be the king. And I'm the best nigga that ever done it and the best nigga that ever will. In life. Imma always be the fucking king!"
Rah circled behind Kai, and raised the gun to the back of his head. A tear slid down his cheek. "Long live the king."
I love you, Karmen!, was Kai's last thought before Rah emptied his round into his skull, silencing him forever.
