"a picnic?" you asked. seokjin hummed in response as he packed more of the food he and yoongi had made earlier that morning into a basket.

"yeah. we realised yesterday it's been a while since we've gone out as a group. the last time was the dinner when you first moved in," he said. your eyes widened—that was the only time you went out with them.

you came from navi's a couple of hours ago. you expected to spend the rest of the day at home, lounging on the couch and studying later in the evening, but jungkook came into your room and told you to get ready to go out with little information about where you'd be going. he simply said to dress casually and comfortably.

"jin!" you heard hoseok call from the living room. "can you quickly help me with something?"

"sure!" he called before turning to you and sliding a list across the counter. "please make sure these are in the basket. i'll be right back."

you barely had time to nod before he was out of the kitchen.

left alone, you pulled the list closer and scanned the items. it wasn't long, and a lot was already crossed out. just some fruit you needed to cut up, utensils, a couple of blankets, and the containers jin had already set aside.

you rolled up your sleeves, fetched the cutting board and got to work. you started off by rinsing strawberries and slicing them into a small bowl. the kitchen was strangely quiet without any of the boys hovering around, and you suddenly realised the house was just as quiet.

'i wonder why it's gone so quiet, and what's taking jin so long,' you thought, and you moved on to fetch the grapes.

just as you added the last of the fruit to a container and tucked it neatly into the basket alongside the other stuff inside, jimin called for you. "y/n! please come to the living room!"

"alright, coming!" you said before wiping your hands on a dish towel and stepping out of the kitchen.

as soon as you entered the living room, you froze.

all your roommates were there, standing behind the coffee table—on top of it sat a basket filled with your favourite things, a large bouquet, and a plush stuffed animal.

"what's all this?" you asked, as the boys stepped away from the tv, revealing the words: "can we be your boyfriends?" on the screen.

"guys..."

your heart was beating so loudly, you were surprised they couldn't hear it. for a moment, all you could do was stare at the screen, then at the boys standing there with a mix of nerves and hope written all over their faces.

namjoon cleared his throat, stepping slightly forward. "we've been... trying to find the right moment," he said with a sheepish smile. "but with how close we've all gotten, it felt wrong to keep waiting."

"and we wanted to do it properly! something cute, something thoughtful. you know... something you deserved," jungkook said with a smile.

"we know dating all of us isn't exactly... traditional," yoongi added. "but we've talked about it. a lot. and we're all on the same page."

jimin nervously toyed with the sleeve of his hoodie. "we really, really like you. in fact, we love you, y/n," he said, voice quieter than usual. "and we want to make this official, if you'll have us."

you looked at the stuff on the coffee table before you lifted your eyes again to look at the seven men before you.

"of course i'll have you guys," you said, wiping the tears that had suddenly spilled down your cheeks. "how could i not?"
