Chapter 10

Me and Emma drove to the mall the day after we got back to apply for new jobs. Since she picked me up she controlled the radio. And of course she insisted on playing Jack and Jack's new ep. But it wasn't that bad I liked 'Shallow Love' and 'California'.

We got to the mall and went our separate ways for about a half hour. I applied at Hollister, Forever 21, Aeropostale, and Bath & Bodyworks. We met up at the food court and ate Panda Express.

"So have you hear from you know who?", Emma asked me.

"Yea he's been direct messaging me on Twitter but I don't reply"

"Why not, Chels you should be in good terms with him what if he wants to get to know you and there's a future for you too!"

"No Emma I'm done that little cellphone swap was fun but it's over I could just be me, I don't have to worry about anything or anyone."

" Well than I guess it's a bad time to tell you that I'm talking to Jack Johnson and they are kinda here in California because MAGCON Orlando got cancelled and I set up for us to have dinner with them and a nice restaurant so you can't make a scene." she said smiling idiotically.

I took a couple of breaths and told her, "next time you do something like this with out telling me I'm going to strangle you"

we drove home in silence and she told me to be ready 6:30 because your reservation was at 7:15.

I wasn't ready I wasn't ready to see Matt. I'm happy for Em that she talking to someone but that's inconsiderate of her to do that.

No one was home so I plugged my phone into the speaker and let my spotify shuffle. I hopped in the shower and washed my hair, face, and body.

I let my hair air dry while I got dressed. Emma said it's a nice restaurant so I got out my maroon colored crop top, nice black skinny jeans, and paired it with my white Nike Air Max.

While my hair was drying I did my makeup. I decided to totally contour and highlight my face since I had 3 hours before Emma picked me up. I started off with my MAC foundation and used my Anastasia Beverly Hills contour and highlight kit to do the rest. After I blended it all together I set my face with translucent pressed powder. I did a natural smokey eye, applied my winged liner like usual, and put some natural looking false eyelashes on. I coated them with a little mascara. I put some nude/burgundy lipstick on and began on my hair.

I plugged in my hair straightener and once it heated up I began to flat iron my hair. Once I was all done I checked the time 6:15 okay so I had 15 minutes.

I scrolled through Twitter and Instagram. I still didn't know where we were going and I was becoming anxious because I was hungry.

Emma honked and I left a note on the dining table for my mom and left.

"you look hot," Emma told me.

"thanks you look nice too," I replied.

I had realized I had forgot to take out my belly button piercing and took it out quickly.

"So where exactly are we going?,"

"Benihannas," she said smiling.

"You can turn on the radio if you want," she told me.

I turned it on to 102.7 KIIS FM and 'Talking Body' by Tove Lo was on. I put the volume a little higher and sang along. We finally arrived at the restaurant and Cameron, Nash, both Jacks, Hayes, And Matthew were all standing out side.

I got out of the car and I saw Matt's mouth drop. that's right. 1-0 Chelsea. I didn't say hi to anyone I just walked straight past everyone and into the restaurant. I sat down and Emma stormed in practically and dragged me into the bathroom and told me to "lose the attitude because it makes me look bitchy" but whatever.

They took us into our private room and we all sat down I took a seat away from Matthew because that's uncomfortable.

The waiter came and introduced himself and he was cute.

"So Chelsea what do you do?," Nash asked.

"Your mom," we all laughed and I seriously answered him, "I'm kidding I work but I'm getting ready to go to college"

"What college?,"

"American Musical and Dramatic Academy, it's in LA"

"Do you have an apartment or dorm because you could crash at our place whenever."

"Thanks but I'm just gonna drive everyday"

Matt chimed in, "what are you taking?"

I rudely replied,"Music"

Our chef came and began his show. I quickly took out my phone and opened to snapchat. I record him making a heart out of the rice.

He excused him self and we began to eat. I was somewhat quiet for the rest of the night.

"Well tonight was fun, see you tomorrow right girls?" Johnson asked

"Tomorrow, what do you mean tomorrow?" I questioned.

"Oh Emma didn't tell you we are having a bonfire at Malibu," he stated.

"Yup you'll see us tomorrow for sure," Emma said very happily.

I'm starting to feel really bad because Emma really likes Johnson, I'm just gonna have to put up and shut up.

As we drove home Emma apologized.

"I'm sorry Chelsea I really am but Johnson he just makes me happy"

"It's okay, your my bestfriend, I know you would do anything if I was really happy."

I told Emma goodnight I that I would pick her up tomorrow.

As I got home some random number text me.

'Hey sorry if you felt uncomfortable tonight, but I hope you had fun and tomorrow at the bonfire I need to talk to you, I'm sorry for everything I really am but I'm moving out to LA and I broke up with my girlfriend back home. Hopefully we can start over. goodnight Chelsea. Xx- Matt'

Why does everything bad happen to me.

I slipped into some pajamas and turned on Netflix and thought about what was going to happen tomorrow. Could I really have something with this guy. Could he make me happy. I honestly don't know but I really hope so.
