Not Too Far

I woke up early to go to Cam's house since she wanted to spend the whole day together. Usually I'd love to spend time with her. I love her and all, but damn she's annoying. She's one of the bossiness people I know. I got in the car and my grandma drove me to her house. It was only like 10 minutes away. A lot closer than Jake's. I was texting him the whole way there though. "So you're staying over? What time should I pick you up tomorrow?" "Um I don't know early though. I want to go to Jake's house." She rolled her eyes. I could tell she was getting annoyed. "Ugh okay Katie have fun!" I shut the door and walked to the front porch. It was freezing outside. I could tell it was gonna snow soon.

I rang the doorbell and Cam's brother Brian opened the door. "Hey Katie! Long time no see!" I gave him a big hug. Brian was like my big brother, although he wasn't much older than me. He's always had a thing for me ever since he figured out how to like someone. "Hey Brian! I missed you!" Have to admit, Brian was sexy in a way. But I've never seen him more than a friend or a brother. Foot steps ranted down the steps. "KATIE OH MY GOSH YOU'RE HERE!" She came and gave me a hug knocking me over on the couch. "So what do you wanna do!?" She asked. She was like a little dog excited that its owner just got home. "Um we could go to the mall!" I said. I really could use some clothes. And I missed the mall. I used to go almost every weekend. They practically knew me there. "Okay! Brian can you drive us?" "Right now?" He said complaining. "Pleaseeee?" I said puckering my lip trying to look cute in a way. "Anything for you princess" he said as he patted my back.

We got in the car and drove to the mall. I could tell Jake was horny because he kept texting me about yesterday and how amazing it was. I tried to keep it PG because I was in the car and didn't wanna look suspicious or something. We arrived at the mall and I got out of the car and ran inside because it was starting to snow. It was warm inside and I was glad. I told Jake I had to go so that Cam wouldn't get mad with me ignoring her. We started walking and half way through when I heard someone call my name from behind. "Katie?" I turned around saw George, one of my old best friends from seventh grade. He had the biggest crush on me. Oh gosh! "Katie isn't that the guy who brought you flowers in seventh grade?" Asked Cam. "Yes, now shhh... Hey George!" I said walking towards him giving him a hug. He blushed and I could tell he was still interested. "Wow you got way hotter, I mean prettier, I mean not that you weren't-" "thanks George haha" I stopped him before he could embarrass himself. George Cam and I all walked to the food court because I was starving. We got Chinese food. It's my favorite.

After a long day of eating shopping and talking, Cam and I said bye to George and went back home. Every time we have a sleep over her mom buys us a shit ton of junk food and we spend the whole night playing video games. She's good at every video game she gets. I suck at all of them. I gave up at 11 and FaceTimed Jake. It felt weird since we were actually in the same state now. Cam didn't like Jake. I don't know why, but none of my friends really ship us. They don't like him. He says it doesn't bother him but I know it does.

I fell asleep at about 1 way after Cam did. The next morning her mom made us waffles and bacon and chocolate milk. It was one of the best breakfasts I've had in forever. I was excited I got to see Jake today! And I was feeling a lot less sore.
