The rest of the week went so slow. Tuesday was a bore, Wednesday was tiring, Thursday was challenging and Friday left me in tears again. All because of that stupid boy Luke and his little posse of ass wipes.

Luke had taunted me and taunted me this entire week, making comments about my new appearance. Apparently, I was still fat and still ugly. What is ugly anyway? What is the definition of that word? Because to me something may seem ugly and crooked but to someone else it may be the most beautiful thing in the world.

One mans trash is another mans treasure, so they say.

And Luke was wasn't letting go of his parade in front of Mr Walking. Apparently we were dating for the whole summer and he just couldn't keep his hands off me. Literally. I was pinched, I was shoved, I was held so tight I felt my internal organs start to burst open and spill out inside of me. He was an asshole. I hated him.

But now it was the weekend and I could just relax, not having to worry about Luke or anyone else bothering me. I suppose it kind of hurt that no one wanted to be friends with me; because being friends with me meant getting targeted by Luke, and let's be real, no one really stands up for anyone if they can help it.

So I never had any plans because I don't really have anyone to make plans with.
Except my little brother because my parents are going away for the weekend on some business trip with my fathers work in the city and so I'm left with my little brother and given the task of keeping him occupied by something for more than five minutes.

Packing their bags in the car, my parents then proceeded to kiss us both on the forehead and give us a set of rules.

"No parties, go to bed at a reasonable time, eat your vegetables and no going out late at night." My father warned us, messing up my brothers hair and giving me a serious look.

"Oh, they'll be fine." My mother calmed my father, "they're always fine." Giving us one last hug, my brother and I watched as they climbed into the family car. Revving the engine, they pulled out the driveway and onto the road.

"And no talking to strangers!" My father shouted from the open window before they sped off down the neighborhood and out of sight.

"So Matías, fancy coming with me to drop off mother's casserole at Elizabeth's house?" I asked my brother as we walked back into the house.

"Sure, only if you take me for some deep fried bad food with sauce and sugary drinks?" He asked, raising an eyebrow and giving me a cheeky smile.

"Well I suppose I could always use the money mum left?" I grinned back at him.

"Mariana is a good woman." He announced, grabbing the casserole in its glass tub from the kitchen. I laughed at him and we went out to the car. My car had came back from the garage on Wednesday with only minor repair costs, making me glad because there was no way I could fork out all that money for brand new brakes.

"Two big macs, an eight piece chicken nugget meal, fries and two diet cokes please." I asked the awkward teenager at the drive by window. After paying my money I drove forward to the next window and waited.

"Here's your order miss- oh hey babe." I looked up from putting my money in my purse to Luke Hemmings' cocky smile hanging out the window with my bag of food in his hand.

"Is he your boyfriend Mila?" My little brother asked, giving me a small fright, but breaking the awkwardness I was now feeling.
