Lillian jumped up from the couch when she heard the door opened and raced over to Ryan, "You should have been home thirty minutes ago, where were you?", she asked pretty quickly without meaning to. She was planning to talk to him calmly and ask him what he did after work, but she was just wash with panic.

Ryan took his jacket off and put it on the coat rack, "I visited Duncan.".

Lillian was irked he sounded so calm and collected, "And? Is his mother going to call the cops on you?".

His eyebrows came together as he looked at her confused and amused, "Why would she do that? I didn't hurt him.".

Lillian back straighten, confused, "You didn't?".

"You sound a little disappointed.", he said. "I could always go back and do it if you want.", he said, walking around her and walked over to the couch, gently picking a sleeping Zane up from the couch.

"Of course not.", she said, walking over to him. "I just...I thought you would end up doing that. You seemed to determine last night.".

He cradled Zane in his arm, "Trust me, I wanted to, but then I thought you would just end up being mad at me for it and I didn't want that. His neck is just going to be a little sore for the night.", he said.

Deciding not question him what he meant by that, a smile formed on her face and she wrapped her arms around his free one, "Being the better person, I love you for that.".

"I just know you're a pacifist.", he said, chuckling and she gave him a 'shut up' look.

"Come on, I made dinner.", she said, pulling him into the kitchen and he made a frighten look.

"Yikes.", he said jokingly.

"Shut up.", she said, chuckling. "I made sure to read the directions right and I had no help from your mom. I didn't eat, I wanted to wait until you came home.".

She took her arms away and took the lid off the pan, reveling boneless chicken that was just a little burnt, but Meredith still said it was delicious and she took her words on it. There was also some Spanish rice she made and salad.

"Hmm, it looks okay. Nothing seems to be crawling out of it or nothing green.", he said and she pursed her lips at him to shut up. Lillian knows she's not the best cook, but she was learning. He chuckled, "I'm kidding, it looks really good.", he said before giving her a kiss.

Lillian tired eyes peeled themselves open when she heard Zane crying. It was a little different then usual, his usual cry was more of an throwing a fit, but this one was more of a whine, like he was in pain or something.

Lillian sat up and rubbed her eyes as she walked over to his crib and picked him up, bouncing him and shhing him softly. He quiet down a little, but he still sounded the same. Her eyebrows came together and she brought him up to her cheek, feeling his forehead and his head was pretty hot, making her quickly concern in a second.

She walked out of the room and went downstairs, giving him a cold bottle, hoping it calm him down. She sat down on the chair, rubbing her baby forehead, "Are you feeling sick, Zane?", she asked, her voice sad. She didn't like seeing Zane sick, his cheeks were flushed, he keep breathing hard from his nose so he was breathing in and out from his mouth, he didn't look happy like he usually does when he gets his bottle, just sad.

She heard someone come downstairs and Merdith came into the kitchen, looking tired, "What's with all the crying?", she asked.

"I think Zane's sick.", she said, looking down at him and began to coo down at him.
