The mental hospital was near to the insane asylum.
Gray was hospitalized in the first one. His mental hillnes was breaking, and every year the little kid's sanity was worse than before.
-Obsessive–compulsive personality disorder, anxiety, paranoia, depression... we're sorry, madam... but we'll have to tranfer yout kid into the asylum... He could hurt someone...

She wanted to end his life as soon as she could.
