Trampled Pearls

The cries they outpour
Echo in empty halls.
Behind closed doors,
Hidden within the walls

They lie so complacent
The guilt doesn't show.
The house is left vacant,
No one will ever know.

They've been misled
By impulses within.
Together in bed
Birthing secret sin.

She straddles him,
A wrapper is torn.
The lights grow dim,
A secret is born.

Her empty right hand
Is a tragic thing;
For on the nightstand
Lays her promise ring.

It was once a vow;
A cherished token,
And it's only now
A promise broken .

they've given away
A precious treasure
They were led astray
By the lust for pleasure

This moral fatality
Poisons our youth,
It's a pitiful reality;
A horrible truth.

Their hearts will break
Their love will sever
And this mistake
Will live forever.
