Chapter one

Elizabeth wakes up just another normal day as she starts to get ready for school She did her hair like usual and her makeup. She walks to her closet and picks out her clothes ((black ripped skinny jeans and a purple tank top and her leather jacket with purple converses.))

She smiles as she looks at herself after getting ready and spins around

"perfect." She whispers

She grabs her bag and opens the door and walks out seeing her best friends snot nose little brother run pasts

"Aden! Slow down!" Mindy yells

She turns around rolling his eyes at her and runs to Elizabeth. They smile and hug

"hey" they say at the same time

Mindy smiles and locks arms with Elizabeth

"Let's go to school!" Mindy said happily

Autumn walks out the door with her hoodie up and her older sister pushes her away
"Losers aren't allowed autumn." Mindy says

"Ahh Mindy don't be mean* Elizabeth sighs

Autumn stares at her and Mindy walks back out and sighs

"Walk." She says

Autumn steps away and let's them pass. They walk past and head down stairs. Autumn follows behind her

"I swear everywhere we go she always wears that Stupid hoodie. People actually called the cops because they thought she was going to rob the store!" Mindy whispers to Elizabeth

"well that sucks* Elizabeth laughs

Mindy nods and her twin brother Henry walks out of the kitchen gym bag in hand and an apple in the other

"Oh hey Elizabeth." He says

Holding the door open for them

Elizabeth blushes and nodes "thanks henry" she whispers

He smiles and pats autumns head as she walks by

"no problem." He says smiling

Mindy rolls her eyes "don't you need to go pick up your girlfriend?" She says

His face lights up and he smiles "Yep! He says cheerfully See you guys around school!"

He hops into his jacked up truck and drives off.
Elizabeth bits her lip and sighs as she climbs into Mindy's car Autumn gets into the back and Mindy starts the car.

"I Love his girlfriend! She cooks really yummy cookies!" Autumn groans

She then looks at Elizabeth. She fakes a smile and Mindy takes her hand

"you ready" Mindy smiles at

"Yeah" she says looking at the clueless Mindy who had no idea her best friend liked her older brother. Autumn makes a sad fist pump and jumps out of the car leaving them. They get to school and Elizabeth hopes out Autumn quickly walks to her friend Cody, and Mindy rolls her eyes

"And she goes to the Dork Side." Mindy groans

walking away no longer interested. Elizabeth stands there for a minute and a guy comes up to her. He taps her shoulder and, she turns around. Another, walks up to autumn as she left the group for a little bit.

"Elizabeth Anna James" the guy asks

she nodes "yes that's me" she answers

"Night has chosen thee;thy death will be thy birth. Night calls to thee; hearken to her sweet voice. Your destiny awaits you at the house of night!" He chants then his lifted his finger and her forehead explodes with pain

She screams and falls to the ground at the same time so does autumn. Everyone turns and looks at them Mindy runs to Elizabeth and the guys disappear. The pain fades away but Elizabeth's vision is blurred with tears. Mindy gasps and falls back as Autumn pulls her hoodie farther over her head and Elizabeth looks at Mindy

"what is it?" Elizabeth asks

Mindy screams and Henry runs up and grabs her

"get away from her Mindy she isn't human anymore* Henry barks

Autumn runs over and Henry pulls autumn away

"Don't get near her autumn!" He yells and Elizabeth stares up in disbelief. Autumn lefts her hood and he stumbles backwards and gasps

Oh my god you're a monster too?" Henry yells

Corey helps Elizabeth up and Autumn glares

"I'm still your sister Henry!" She yells and he shakes his head

"No.... No......no your not" he yells and walks away with mindy

Mindy is crying softly and autumn walks over to Elizabeth

"well I guess we go to the house of night don't we" autumn whispers
