When we start high school not only is it a big step but it's also when we leave our old friends behind to make new ones. I'm going into year 10, but 3 years ago I was so scared of starting highschool I nearly choked, or fell because my knees were aching so much.
I'd woken up about 6 o'clock to desifer how to tie a tie. Although I'd had a lot of practise when doing it in the holidays, my first day it was if my mind was blank. When I'd arrived at school I had no idea where I was going, typically in fan fiction you have the mean girls bumping into you and sniggering. It's not like that, mostly because we had no idea who they were. That day I made lists of friends, but of course, I had to get homework, my first day and I got homework. When I went home I went straight to sleep, because actually the step from primary to secondary is like a hike up a mountain, very tiring.

After about a week, I'd just started to really settle in and get used to everyone and everything, I had a steady friend group and we had finally decided who the 'mean' girls were.

So there we sat in pe, and I won't lie, pe is my worst subject, as you'll go onto see, I've had some classic moments in pe. But this wasn't classic, more of a coincidence. At the time me and pearl had known eachother for 6 years but we hadn't seen eachother for 4, so I had completely forgot who she was, which was likewise for her as well. I was always the quiet one back then and to no surprise pearl had to have the loudest mouth, so for many pe lessons because she was in my set I just stared at her, in all honesty I was fascinated how someone can make so much noise.
This was until the day I sat behind her and I asked what her name was, we soon realised who we both were and after that it was treat like a big reunitation. In overall my first week was a success, but what you all need to realise is that, we all move on in life and we all have something just round the corner from us.
