Chapter 8

 Why was I saved and not my family? I paced along the beach getting more and more aggrevated with each passing second. Why I was so mad I dont know, I guess I was just mad that those guys murdered my family.

 I had to find some blood and fast, I could feel the red ring around my eyes growing larger until it enveloped my entire iris. My anger and aggression increased immediatly and I began to feel paranoid and irritable.

 Someone came up behind me and placed a cool hand on my shoulder. I spun around, ready to lock the person in a headlock, but froze when I saw who it was.

 "Hey, please dont kill me." Liam said with a small smile. Letting out a sigh, I fell into his arms.

 "I should have died that night, not them." I sobbed into his shirt.

 "No, I wouldnt have you then. They would have killed the others after they killed you anyways."

 "So, your telling me it was better that my entire family was murdered because of me?" I looked into his warm brown eyes. They were as deep as the ocean and as brown as milk chocolate. I felt like I could see all they way to his soul and beyond.

 "Thats no what i'm saying at all. I'm just trying to tell you, we wouldn't be having this moment now if you had, I woudn't have met you, and we wouldn't be mates. I know your life is hell at the moment but, it'll get better, I promise you that."

 "How?" He brought me over to a near by bench and sat me on his lap.

 "I did a little digging, you know about your past and what went down that day. Then Ali and Brianna showed me a computer that they had to locate other vamps. So, what did I do? I went and I found someone you might want to be reaquainted with. Riley, say hi to Kyla."

 A girl with shoulder length, dark brown hair, deep brown eyes, and a familiar aura about her, walked out from behind a tall building towards us. As she got closer, I realized, it was my sister. She was supposed to be dead along with my parents and brother. But no, there she was slowly walking towards me, her flowy dress blowing behind her as she walked. Her hair was put to the side in a braid, her makeup was done to look natural, she had on a pair of sparkly hoop earings, and a pair of bright wedges.

 "Riley? Is that truly you?"All I could do was nod because i knew that if I spoke, my voice and myself would crack.

 "Oh my god!" We ran to each other, closing the small expanse between us. Embracing each other, we sobbed hard.

 "But, I thought everyone was murdered? How are you standing in front of me?"

 "Later, right now all that matters is that we are together again."

 "Ali and Brianna told me that they killed everyone in the village. Oh god I've missed you so much!!!"

 "Wait, Ali and Brianna are here? Are they vampires?"

 "Well duh! They wouldnt be here if they weren't vampires. Where have you been all this time?"

 "First, I was changed by those moronic guys that rampaged through the village and then I was brought to a castle where I was used and abused by their boss man. Finally, one night I got the balls to attempt to escape. I got past their deffenses easily enough but it took a lot to get past the mutts. I've been in America ever since just trying to keep my identity a secret and living life. What about you?"

 "Well, I've lived here in England the entire time, moving around to every corner of the island and keeping hidden. I enventually found an abandoned warehouse in London and stayed there for the past 50 years. Then, I went out one night to get some blood and ran into this doofus." I smiled up at Liam sitting behind me. We had travelled to the beach and sat on a broken log. I felt my eyes sparkle again.

 "He's your mate isn't he?"

 "Yeah. At first I didn't excpet it becuase I saved him from commiting suicide. He almost jumped off a bridge."

 "But you saved my life and I owe you that." He lightly kissed me, his soft lips gently brushing mine for only a second.

 "Well, I say we get home and introduce everyone to the newest member of our family." Kyla smiled. I knew what she was thinking, she has a family now.

 We have a family now, and nothing is ever gonna change that.

 Or so we thought...........
