There's something strange about going on a date. Maybe it was the fact that I hadn't been on one in at least a year due to my busy work schedule, and there just hadn't be anyone whom I though was appealing other than flower boy. Along with that strange feeling I felt slightly anxious about everything I was doing to prepare. What if he didn't like my dress, what if he didn't like my make up or didn't like my hair, what if he didn't like my personality, what if he thinks I'm weird. Millions of questions fly through my mind as I tuck a stray strand of hair behind my ear.

There definitely was a positive feeling of excitement for this, but it was mainly the nerves that I felt. Reminding myself to take deep breaths I retire to the couch to relax before Seamus got here.

A knock echoes through the silence of my house drawing me from my thoughts. I'm careful not to make any abrupt movements while standing up in fear of twisting in ankle in the heels I selected to wear. I wasn't exactly graceful in them, but they at least made my legs look good. Smoothing out my dress I take another deep breath before opening the door.

Seamus stood there looking at the ground his hands shoved in the pockets of his trousers, and a light blue button up shirt replacing his usual graphic tee. For a moment neither of us saying anything, and we just look at each other before Seamus let's out a soft chuckle a grin spreading across his lips.

"You look gorgeous.", Seamus says.

"Thanks.", I mutter feeling my cheeks turn cerise as Seamus took my hand. He draws me in carefully as if I'm a porcelain doll and he would crush me.

"You're welcome, now come on we've got stuff to do.", he says.

I nod and let him lead me to his car. As we get in Seamus' car he intertwines his hand with mine flashing a grin my way before starting the car, and I can't help but think this is going to be good.

We ended up at dinner, then at the park we started out bonding in. A blanket was spread across the ground, and we were laid out on top with our fingers intertwined. My head was nestled in the crook of his neck, both of us staring up at the stars.

In the background soft music plays from Seamus' phone. Neither of us are talking we're just watching the stars quietly both of us content with the situation. It was pleasant that he didn't find the need to talk every minute and that he was okay with silence.

"Do you like this?", Seamus inquires. He rolls over onto his side to look at me, his fingers working to tuck some hair behind my ear. Blue eyes are focused solely on me as he waits for a reply of some sort.

"I love it.", I say smiling.

"Are you being honest or bullshitting me to make me feel a little better about myself."

"I'm not", I chuckle, "I really do love it. I couldn't ask for anything better for a date."

"That's a relief honestly I was terrified you weren't going to like it.", he says exhaling a breath he seemed to have been holding for a while.

"I love it Seamus, don't worry."

"I brought you something.", he says leaning over and digging through the bag he'd brought the blanket and other various things for the date in. From inside he pulls out a flower crown a sly grin on his face. Ducking my head slightly I allow him to place it on my head.

Seamus' finger traces along my jaw line eyes on me briefly before his lips meet mine.
