1st scene- The Fear by Lily Allen2:15 in the afternoon, the school bell rings signaling that I only have one more class left before the weekend, Chemistry. It's most likely my best subject and by far my favorite. I was always good at it; something about it made me excited to experiment. With Chemistry, it's like I have a way to figure out which chemicals mix perfectly that form a beautiful solution and the ones that do not mix and kind of reject each other. Suddenly, bringing me out of my thoughts, my body collides with something in the hallway with me crashing on top of it. I look down to see an attractive looking boy with the most mesmerizing green eyes I have ever seen. We stay there for a minute just gazing into each other's eyes before his turn cold, and he immediately get's off the floor. "I'm so sorry. I didn't see where I was going," I say trying to ease the tension. "Clearly you didn't," he says abruptly while picking up his scattered books off the floor. "I'm sorry I just didn't see you," I apologize again pathetically, still frozen in place. "I heard you the first time," he says rudely and walks away. As soon as he leaves, I get off the floor, pick up my books, and head straight to Chemistry, praying silently no one just witnessed that. When I get to the classroom, I look in the window to see that class has already started- oh great! Turning the door handle very carefully, I walk in tip-toeing, trying my absolute hardest to make my appearance unnoticeable. Mr. Mac is writing something on the board, so maybe he didn't see me coming in. "You're late, Miss Smith," he states not even turning around to face me. Yep he saw me. I take my seat in the back and pull out my notes while everyone continues to stare at me. "Okay class, today we will start a new project," Mr. Mac boasts, "Everyone will be working in groups of two, so let's get you guys paired up." He tells us some more stuff about the project, but I zone out trying to recap what happened earlier. I cannot exactly remember the boy's face, but I do remember those piercing eyes. They were the most captivating emerald green color...damn. Now that I think of it I could just not stop staring into them. They held some sort of spell over me. Mr. Mac continues to say the names of the pairs, "Lexi and Hayden." Who the heck is Hayden? The door of the classroom suddenly swings open with a loud thud, revealing the devilish boy. "Nice of you to join us Mr. Ross," Mr. Mac snaps. Those green eyes of his find mine, and I cannot bring myself to look away, but he does. He takes a seat in the back of the classroom and drops his book bag on the floor with a ridiculously dramatic BOOM! "Hayden you will be working with Lexi for the new lab project," Mr. Mac points to me. I turn around in my seat to look at him, but he doesn't look up at me. My heart drops. I feel like every single gear in my brain has stopped moving, and my mind goes blank. I want to say something, but before I get the chance I faintly hear Hayden mutter, "Fan-tastic," followed by a sigh. I couldn't have said it better myself; this is the perfect way to start off senior year. When the bell ring and the day is finally over, I begin to walk out the classroom. Before I get the chance to take two steps, I feel someone pulling me by my waist and bringing me back into the room. It's Hayden...oh HELL NO. As Hayden tries to persuade me into doing the project by myself, I cannot seem to focus. Instead, I decide to take in his appearance. He is wearing he typical "bad boy" outfit: black leather jacket, with ripper up jeans, and his white t-shirt fitted nicely around his tan skin. Ha crude personality matches his look completely. During this time, I take notice on how freaking attractive this boy is: olive tan skin, dark brown curly hair, iridescent green eyes, and the most gorgeous award-winning smile. Wait, what? Why is he smiling at me? His smile instantly disappears when he sees me watching. "So, how are we ping to do this thing?" Hayden asks me anxiously. "Well I was thinking we could meet up in the library every day after school. If that's okay with you?" I ask breaking eye contact. He rubs his neck and looks down making one piece of his gorgeous hair fall down, "Yeah I guess, I'll meet you there tomorrow after school." Before I can even correct him that tomorrow is Saturday, he runs like lighting to get down the hallway. What the hell just happened? One minute he is telling me to watch where I'm going and the next he's acting all weird and awkward? Something does not make sense and my brain needs a break. What better distraction from this inevitably awful project than a nice, relaxing weekend. As I'm walking to my car, I see a note placed on my windshield saying, "Dear Lexi, I was mistaken that tomorrow is Saturday so with that I will see you Monday. I wish I could say that I look forward to spending numerous amounts of painfully agonizing hours of torture with you, but unfortunately I'm not that genuine :) Your new partner, Hayden." Monday came around quickly, and Hayden kept his word just like he said he would. Day after day and week after week, the more time we spent together, the more I would begin to fall hopelessly and madly in love with him, as he did with me. It seems ironic that before the project started, Hayden and I wanted nothing to do with each other. Little did we know, that six years later we would be still meeting- not at the library, nor at the end of the hallway, but rather at the end of the aisle at the chapel.
Authors Note:
Okay so this is my first book...it started off as legit a homework assignment but one of my friends told my I should make it into a Wattpad book..so here it is. This first chapter is kind of like what ends up happening but the next chapters are gonna be like the stuff in between all of that happening so don't worry you're in good hands and I'll publish the next chapter same time (Thursday) next week :)
