*this is what Everly looks like^^*
I always seems to find myself stuck in these ridiculous situations. this one just happened to be at the biggest party of the year.
Usually I try to stay away from this kind of scene anyway, but my best friends begged me to come, so I did.
Alex Gaskarth was in no way popular, but he was the king of parties. Every Friday night you could expect there to be one, either at his house or the lake on the outskirts of town. He always had alcohol, music, and no one ever got arrested.
So here I stand, awkwardly in between Alex and one of my best friends Rian. Even though I wasn't into the party scene Alex and I shared a love for good music, that's why we're friends. And rian and I? Our parents have been friends since high school. Our moms were stupid and both got pregnant jr year of high school, so they had always had something to bond over. Ever since before I could walk me and rian had had "play dates" something that was a usual occurrence since we were neighbors.
"Anyone up for truth or dare?" Someone yelled, a few people, including Alex, Rian and myself all looked in the direction of where the voice came from. I sighed when I noticed my best friend Lilly standing on the table with a half empty bottle of vodka in her hand and a solo cup filled with something else.
A few random strangers, most likely some of the neighbors, walked in the direction of Lilly, most of them looking beyond drunk as well. This night hadn't been specifically terrible, it's just the fact that I'm awkward and don't like to talk to anyone. As I kept my eyes on the group of people forming a circle around the table Lil had been standing on I felt a short buzz on my leg. I reached my hand into my pocket and pulled out my phone, quickly unlocking it to see who the text was from.
We're here, which door does Alex want us to come in this time?
My other close friend Nina asked. I looked at Alex and tapped his shoulder, hoping he'd notice.
"Nina wants to know which door to use!" I yelled over the loud music. That was another thing about his parties. You can never have an actual conversation because his music is turned up to full volume.
"Back door! I don't think it's physically possible to open the front door right now!" He yelled back, pointing toward the wooden door across the room from us. I nodded and looked back down at my phone, beginning to text Nina back.
Back door. The house is so packed tonight you can't get in and out of the front door. Did Mikey come with you?
Okay. And yeah, he followed us here. Can you bring him a drink, he doesn't want to be around all those people right now.
Of course, I'll meet him by the pool. He want his usual beer?
Yup
I turned my phone off and shoved it back in my pocket, then turning around to face Rian. He had his arm casually slung around his girlfriend Cassadee's shoulders and a beer bottle held firmly in his other hand.
"I'm gonna go outside. I'll see you before I leave." I said. He nodded and waved before going back to talking with Cassadee. I pushed my way past the people in the overcrowded room till I finally reached the kitchen. There weren't as many people in there but still quite a few people stood in the small space. I quickly grabbed two beers and made my way outside, weaving in and out of the intoxicated idiots. Yes, I'm drinking but at least I'm smart enough not to get fucking wasted.
Nina, Mikey, Atlas and a few other people stood by the pool, all of them talking and laughing. As I walked up next to Mikey I tapped his shoulder to let him know someone was standing next to him. He turned to face me, then smiled once I handed him his drink.
