your not so classic prologue

it all starts in a small little town in a small little state. bangor, maine. maine is severly underrated. it is mainly know because of its lobster, which is completely delicious. but its flora and fauna and absolutely breathtaking.

anyway, this is not a story to compliment maine. but, instead, let's take a second to introduce the main characters that will partake in this story:

oh how shall i start with you,
my dear
there are so many facts about you.
after all you are an
extremely popular one.
the blue-eyed captain of the
basketball team.
everyone knew you as that.
but you were so much more.
funny, kind, extroverted, clever;
this kid had it all.
but you were aching inside.
basketball made you momentarily
happy--
and so did parties and girls.
but you didnt quite understand life.
you knew there was way more
to life than hoops.
but you needed her
to open your eyes to all
your potential.
and you needed to learn
to love someone.
love someone truly.
that is why you fell in love with
her.
and then you will make the
ultimate choice.

oh i know exactly how to start
with you.
i mean you are so predictable.
you have had your life
planned since you were six:
graduate, yale, scientist
husband, 2 kids, death.
your life was planned out.
and in school you were
already planting your seed
to attend yale:
you were captain of the
debate team,
vice-president of the math league,
and you were an ap honors
student.
but you were simply boring.
dull.
entretaining.
absolutely no one wanted to hang out with the "geek who wears
unflattering, huge sweaters."
but you were actually very
humorous and quick-witted...
you simply had no friends
to share your funniness
with.
you were okay with that.
you understood you were known
as the nerd.
but once in a while your heart ached
when you were reminded that
not even your debate teammates
wanted to get to know you.
maybe it was your looks.
you most definitely did not
look like gigi hadid.
you are a short ((5'2 tops)),
extremely chubby brunette
who had a bad case of acne scars.
but... brains over beauty, right?
at least maybe for you.
for you,
school and grades were
all that mattered.
for everyone else
you were unapproachable.
stodgy.
predictable.
and that is why
you fell in love with
him.
because that reckless, adventurous
rebel had to teach you
how to not only care about yale
anymore,
but to actually live life.

enough about those two seniors. now i must warn you that halfway through the book there will be no tranformation from ember that makes nash beg for her. and he isnt her bully, and halfway through a beating they don't realize that they love each other mutually.

no, this is a realistic love story. this is a story that will teach you about mistakes and love and confusion and trust and loyalty and choices. and this will show you how your choices affect you and your life and all the people surronding you.
