Please excuse the horrible writing... I wrote this when I was eleven. The only reason I leave this up is people seem to like it.

"Truth or Dare?" She asks.

"Truth."

"Who do you like?"

"No one."

"That's impossible, you have to like somebody!"

"Well, who do you like then?"

"Someone, but this is your truth, not mine! Who do you like Mr... I don't even know your last name!" She's evil to everyone but her two best friends, and everyone knows it. The head cheerleader, Kirstin Maldonado.

"I asked you a question!" She snapped.

"Whatever." I said as I stood up and walked away.

"Where are you going?" She asks, sounding genuinely sad, yet I of corse knew it was just an act.

"Away from you."

-----

"Okay, but seriously, who do you like?" Kevin, my best friend, asks the day after Scott Hoying's party, at lunch.

"Didn't you hear me?" I asked. " Like I said last night, I don't like anyone!"

"Dude, that's impossible, what's wrong with you? How long has it been since you've had meat?"

"I'm telling you, I don't like anyone!"

"Just saying, I know someone who likes you..." He mumbles the last part.

"Kevin, I already know about Mitch Grassi's crush on me, it's been obvious since the beginning."

"No Avi, it's a girl, and well, according to her at Scott's party last night, you'll find out who it is soon. (a/n #soon hehe)

"Whatever."

-----

She walks up to me at the end of the day, as I'm walking to my car.

"In all seriousness, who do you like?" She asks.

"Who do you like?" I reply sassily.

"I'm not joking around, Kaplan. And yes, I figured out your last name."

"No one! I've told you like sixteen times, I've told Kevin at least two too many times, and hell, I've even told Esther!"

"Who's Esther?" Kirstin asks.

"My older sister, she's in college."

"Oh. Well, back to the point. Who do you like?"

"No one. Why do you care so much anyways? I ask.

"Fine. If you don't wanna answer, don't answer. Whatever. Oh, and why I care? You'll find out soon enough." She says while walking away, her short blonde hair bouncing.

-----

It's finally Friday, the day of the football game. That may be the one thing Kirstin and I have in common, football. Actually, I'm not sure if she even like's football, but she's there at every game... Then again she's head cheerleader, so that might be why.

"Good luck." She whispers to me when I walk past her. That's weird, usually she wants nothing to do with me at these games.

-----

We won the game, and as the customary celebration, there's a party at Kirstin's house. I've never liked these parties, but since I'm a football player, I guess it's somehow 'necessary' for me to go to them. So I do. However, I don't believe I've ever been to Kirstin's house for a party.

"Hey, Avi, we're playing Truth or Dare, come play, please!"

"Okay, I'll play."

Just my luck, once again, Kirstin gets to choose my truth or dare.

"Avi, Truth or Dare?"

I learned my lesson last time.

"Dare."

"Kiss me." She says confidently.

"What?"

"You heard me, kiss me." She sits there, in her cheerleading uniform, crosslegged. "Just do it."

Normal people would just try and kiss as little as possible, but I finally understand why she was asking. Kirstin Maldonado, the head cheerleader, the most popular girl in school, likes me, the nobody, Avi Kaplan.

But since I'm just as I said, a nobody, I give her a little peck on the lips.

"Come on Avi, you can do better that that." She says, before pulling me back, forcing me to kiss her. Let me say, it was enjoyable, the feeling of her lips on mine, kissing me roughly for what felt like way too long for a game of truth or dare.

When she pulls away, she whispers something in my ear. I don't quite catch it, and she notices, but I've already sat back down.

She crawls over to me from the other side of the circle.

"Who do you like now, Kaplan?"
