Chapter 4

~Nic's POV~

After I saw Jessica for the second time yesterday I couldn't help but smile and be grateful for the fact that we bumped into each other again. I woke up this morning with a smile on my face remembering what had happened yesterday. I walked downstairs and greeted my mom. It was Sunday morning. She made waffles!

"Morning mom " as I gave her a quick peck on the cheek before I grabbed some waffles.

"Morning son. How'd you sleep ?"
She asked.

"I slept great!" I couldn't help but smile when Jessica popped into my head.

"Why's that?" She sounded very curious, but I wasn't going to tell her 'oh cuz I can't stop thinking about a player on your team.' Yea right shed think I was crazy.

"No reason I just felt happy for some odd reason but I guess it's because we won our game yesterday!" I was happy that we won again. It's our fifth game in a row that we've won!

"That's great! I'm so proud of you guys! This season is looking great for all of you!" She sounded pleased.

"I know right!"

"Nic I wanted to continue our conversation from yesterday."

"What about it?"

"I saw the way you looked at her Nic. It was so obvious!" My mom loved to be in our gossip but she is the one I always go for about girls or anything. I guess you can say I'm a mommas boy. But it's not my fault my dad died when I was 6 from cancer.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I felt my cheeks get hot.

"Nicolas you know exactly what talking about! You have a little crush on miss Jessica don't you ?"

I couldn't help but wonder: do I have a crush on her or is she just some amazingly beautiful I casually bumped into? "I don't know mom. Yea she is extremely beautiful and when I talked to her I felt like a whole different person. But a good different. With her I felt like myself like I didn't have to be a certain way just to impress her." I couldn't help but smile and blush at my own words. Was I actually saying this?

"We'll I must tell you Jessica is a very kind and bright girl, but she's had a rough past and if you thought about having any type of relationship with her I want you to treat her with respect and be careful. She is fragile and can break at any moment." My mother looked so concerned talking about her as if something horrible had happened.

"Of course. I would never want to hurt her in any way."

"Good now finish your food and get ready! We're going to the movies! And for your information she looked at you the same way you did with her." She smiled and winked. Then left me to get ready.

~Jessica's POV~

I woke up with a smile on my face and so did Alex. Today we were just planning on having a girls day and night. We woke up ate breakfast and got ready. We were going to go to the movies, out to a Chinese buffet, and go to the mall to shop. I was so excited because we were going to go watch the Gallows. We simply loved scary movies so we thought that would be a good choice. We got dressed and ready and headed to my car.

"You ready to get scared like you always do?" I mocked Alex because no matter how much she loves scary movies she always gets scared easily.

"Shut up Jessica. Just because I don't get as easily scared as you doesn't mean I'll get scared every time we watch a scary movie together." She rolled her eyes and we were off.

Alex and I walked out of the theatre and she was shaking.

"What happened Alex? Did poor baby get scared?" I couldn't help but laugh at her.

"I can't believe that movie didn't scare you like what the fuck man!"

We were throwing away our cups and popcorn I had seen my coach so I walked up to her to sag hey.

"Hey coach! Surprise seeing you here."

"Hey Jessica same here! What movie are you about to watch?"

"Oh me and my friend just came out from watching the gallows what about you?"

"Me and my son came out of watching the same movie!"

"It was so funny because she got so scared!!" I heard a chuckle and the same cute raspy voice from yesterday. I turned and saw Nic walking towards us.

"Oh hey Nic ! " he opened his arms out for a hug and I saw my friend smirk and give me googly eyes.

"Hey Jessica! Hey Alex! Did you guys get scared? That movie wasn't even scary at all!"

"Well I got scared Jessica just sat there laughing at me and just straight faced the whole time. I swear its hard to scare her!"

"Oh my gosh! You should have seen Alex she was jumping all over the place, screaming, and kept covering her eyes!" I couldn't help but start laughing remembering what had happened.

"It's okay Alex I feel you. Anyways what are you ladies going to go do? We were going to get a bite to eat. I wanted to know if you ladies wanted to join us? " my coach asked.

"What do you think Alex? Do you mind?"

"Yea it doesn't matter."

"Yea were in. Where did you guys want to go?" I accepted their offer.

"Where ever you guys want to go." Nic offered.

"Anywheres fine with us."

"How about Chinese buffet?" Nic asked.

"Sounds great!" Alex and I said in unison. We looked at each other and laughed.

~Nic's POV~

"Chinese buffet it is then!" I smiled and looked over at Jessica and saw her blush. I couldn't help but blush a bit myself.

I looked over to my mom and saw that she was on the phone. Once she got off the phone I started talking.
"So shall we go? We can all meet up at the restaurant."

"I'm sorry Nic I got a call from Nicole and she needs me over at her house ASAP. Maybe next time."

"It's alright. Well maybe next time ladies."

"No no you should still go have fun enjoy yourselves!" Then she left.

"Well do you guys still want to go?"

"Yea sure why not? You can ride with us." Jessica offered.

"Okay but do you mind if I call a friend so I'm not the only guy?"

"Go for it." Jessica started then came up to my war and whispered," maybe you should invite Leo I think Alex has a little crush on him." Then she backed away. "But it's your decision but go ahead."

I thought that was a brilliant idea. It'll give me a chance to talk to Jessica without having interruptions because I know for a fact Leo had a crush on Alex as well so they're definitely going to hit it off.

I gave him a quick call:

(N-Nic & L-Leo)

N:hey man you want to go to a buffet with me Jessica and Alex?

L: oh yea ill be ready in 5

N: alright bye

With that I hung up and we all got into Jessica's car and drive off to get Leo.
