"Rebby, wake up!" I heard my seven year old brother yell. I open my eyes and see that he is jumping across my room. "Luke, what are you doing?" I ask. "Dad said you have to get me ready for school," he said, and I sighed. I sat up on the edge of the bed. "Go get dressed, I will make your lunch." He nodded and skipped out if the room.

I glared at my dad, who was passed out on the couch. I shook my head and continued to make the sandwich. I put it in Luke's lunch bag. I zipped it back up and poured cereal into a bowl. Luke came downstairs and sat down at the table. We ate the cereal in silence.

I dropped Luke off at school and headed towards my own school. I pulled up into the parking lot and hopped out. My friend, Jack, came up to me. "Hi Rebecca, what happened yesterday?" He asked. "Nothing, really." I said. He fell in step with me as I started walking toward the entrance of the school.
