Photo Shoot

"Shit, I need my zoom lens." Gray mutters with a cigarette between his lips. Since Gray is the only one with a camera, he is the 'photographer' for the girls' 'photo shoot'.
"Gray! Hurry the fuck up!" Robin yells running a hand through her long black hair.
"Shut the hell up!" He growls, squinting through the smoke.

In the end, Gray only got 1 photo of each of us.

One of Alice in mid sneeze, one of Robin yelling, one of Kat flipping the camera off, and one of me eating a burrito. Overall, it wasn't a great photo shoot. But at the end, we set the camera up on a timer, and took one with all of us.

Robin had her arm around Gray, kissing his cheek, while Gray had a disgusted look and was flipping the camera off. Alice was on my back holding up the rock n' roll sign while I was in mid fall. Kat was pushing me over with a frown on her face and eyes squinted.

At the end of the shoot, the sun was setting. We sat around outside in Grayson's backyard and smoked cigarettes and just talked.

"Oliver said he was sorry." Alice murmured kicking at the ground.
"You didn't take him back, did you?" Kat asks.
"No way. I mean, I think I still like him, but there is no way I could take him back after he cheated on me. He broke my heart." Her voice cracked at the end.
"Speaking of relationships. . . Who are you dating this week Matt?" Grayson asks with a smirk.
"They aren't weekly girlfriends! But at the moment I'm dating Danielle." I say rolling my eyes. That made Alice laugh. I'm glad she didn't start crying.

"Matt, will you braid my hair?" Robin asks leaning back on my knees. I sign and take her thick, long black hair in my hands. I braid it and tie it with a hair tie Robin handed me, and threw the braid over her shoulder.

"Kat, what do you wanna do when you grow up?" Alice asks thoughtfully laying down beside her and staring up at the starry sky.
"I don't fucking know. Why are you asking me?" Kat asks.
"Hm. Just thinking I guess." Alice says softly.
"Oh my God, Alice is thinking!?" Grayson yells, sounding horrified. I laugh, and then Robin laughs, and then everyone laughs, and someone starts to cry and then someone else cries and then we all scream. We scream until our throats are raw and voices scratchy.

This is just what we do.

We light up sparklers, and although I'm pretty sure it's illegal now that the 4th of July has passed, we do it anyway.

These people bring out the best, and the worst in me. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
