Chapter 9: Love can be Hell

It has been a week since Grays little outburst in science class.
That was a TRAIN WRECK.

But Natsu didn't mind the extra attention it had gotten him and Gray.

Natsu sighed on his bed and squeezed his pillow. 

After Gray 'confessed his undying love for him.' Juvia was so upset she stormed out of the room right there.
It was practically raining.

Natsu just stood their red as a tomato. Say no words. Nothing.

He turned over on his bed. "Gah, I'm such an idiot."

After that everyone started a rumor that he had rejected Gray, while Mr. Forealshit played it off cool and 'forgot all about it.

Only him and Gray knew though.

That's what made Natsu's stomach churn and go all fluttery.

Now don't misunderstand. They still aren't together.  In fact Gray had called up Natsu the day after to ask to take a break.

So basically, it merely been six days since he had last seen Gray and he was in AGONY.

"DAMNIT HES ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT DONT I HAVE A LIFE BESIDES THAT ASS" Natsu threw his pillow in the air.

"Talking about Gray?" Lucy giggled standing in the doorframe.

Natsu glared while slightly blushing.

"How long have you been here?" He spat.

Lucy smiled and sat down beside the discruntled Natsu.

"Long enough to know that Gray broke~up~with~you" Lucy sang while laughing.

"He did not. He just said he wanted a break that's all."

Lucy's smile faded. She took Natsu from behind the neck and pulled him in a tight hug.

"I know. I'm sorry, its just-"

Lucy started crying and snuggled her face in Natsu's shoulder.

"L-Lucy? What's wrong?" He said tapping the blonde on her head.

"Loke...." She sniffed.

"He c-cheated on me...I'm sorry, I just need my best friend right now." She cried squeezing Natsu tighter.

Natsu was speechless. Loke did?

But they were always so happy...maybe, love doesn't always last forever?
