The Girl In The Blue Dress

"Come down for Lunch!" Madison's mother called as she was straightening out her lovely blue dress she was wearing. Madison ran down stairs and sat in her chair at the table. "Mother, when is father coming home?" she asked her mom.   "When he is finished working", she replied back taking off her cooking apron.  " I miss him... a lot." Madison said staring down at the lace on her socks. "We all do." said her mother as she was fixing everyone's plates and sat down to eat. Madison poked at her food with her fork as she stared at it. Madison didn't talk to anyone for the rest of the night. She walked back upstairs and sat on her bed. "He will come home soon", she thought to herself. Her father was the closest person to her, and always was. They use to go on adventures together and play hide and seek ever since she was little. Madison is 9 years old, has dark brown hair like her dad, and hazel eyes like her mom.

Madison lays back in her bed and thinks about all the fun times she had with her father. "I'm Home!" Her father comes in the door, Madison runs down stairs and hugs her father tightly. Madison wakes up, it was all a dream. (It is now morning, and has been 24 hours since hew came home last.) "I must've fell asleep." she thought to herself. She pulls her bedroom window curtains open to the side and stairs out the window and looks at the beautiful flowers. "I am going to go find my father."
